Coupland: "Me as a hoser or, as theyre called in the US, a redneck. We shot it in this desert location where they film mainly UFO-type shoots, dating back to the 1950s and the Twilight Zone. Theres this big heap of old scrapped plywood UFOs and space gimrackery. Wed all seen the place dozens of times before in movies and TV, so there was a strange deja-vu to the afternoon. The local army base was a spit away, and there were B-52s flying overhead every three minutes."
