Cutaway Cassie most definitely living her best life! I love the way you styled them, they look absolutely fantastic. I get what you mean about having the shoes you were meant to get by the luxury Gods. Not quite luxury but when I was a teenager I wanted New Rock boots and saved for them for a long time. I think the heel height is actually fantastic because these certainly deserve to be front and center frequently (without killing your feet!). I could not be trusted with white sandals, but really looking forward to seeing you style them this spring/summer!

I was looking for a different SS22 heel and the SA Chanel corporate connected me with (my local store didn’t have them), actually offered me these in a black with white CC! I passed since they aren’t for me despite being super cute - the heel is too tall - but this is in the USA. So there is that variation out there too! I love the outfits you put together with them though, almost makes me wish I didn’t pass 😅😅😅

I had my own little story similar to this recently as well. I went into Prada looking for those little short(skort) thing they have this season. Someone was literally in the store trying on the black version in the only size available, which is the colour I was most interested in. But then they brought out the only other colour they had which is the pink one and I love them even though I wouldn’t normally wear something so bright. I think I will get more use out of the spring colour than I would have in the black. The luxury gods came through.

I ordered the Chanel dad sandals through a Saks personal shopper and when they tried to send me my size, she said one of the SAs hid the mate! I loooooooove this style. And I think the medium heel height actually suits the style of the shoe the best. I think the color and the style lend themselves to a casual, cuter vibe that doesn’t translate quite as well in the 99 mm. Just my take! I hope you aren’t haunted by what might have been but I think you definitely made the right call! (Also I think these would look amazing with cropped jeans….👀!!!)

It sucks that your SA didn't come collect you from the queue. In the US, we can tell the man at the door who we are there to see and they let our SA come get us. Regardless, the shoes are worth the wait and cold. I wouldn't be surprised if you get stopped in the street when you wear them.

When it comes to fashion/accessories, I've found that sometimes my second choice I end up liking the best. Like the time I bought a blouse in my first choice (a bold print) and then later went back and bought my second choice (a pastel print), which I ended up using more. Or when I bought a heart pendant in amethyst because purple is my favorite color but ended up buying and loving the red garnet version more.
