Since this is a common misconception, I'll note it here; 1.18 doesn't prevent you from skipping the rain, the thing you've heard is a bug fix that prevents you from resetting the rain _cycle,_ which is how a lot of servers ended up raining every other in-game day

Seeing as you get a new origin after each death, it'd be interesting to add a new section to your starter base themed around that origin. Might make the place look like an eyesore but it'd be a glorious eyesore.

That house is genuinely in my list of the most interesting and cool builds I’ve seen in a while and I have no idea why. You say it’s a bit Aztec? I was thinking Japanese…and Greco-Roman in the interior space (don’t ask why). It’s like a whole new culture that could have existed in a different world. Sure, the Aztecs, Greeks and Japanese would have had to merge through a very whacky kind of historical anomaly, but it kinda works if you ask me.

Hey Joel there's an enchantment book called "Water Protection (up until III)" in the Origins mod that prevents you from taking damage in water for X seconds depending on the tier. Its quite a hassle though since they only spawn in dungeon/mineshaft/stronghold library/underwater ruin chests

love how when joel finds out he cant go in water without dying he decides to start out by getting in a boat and travelling by sea

You should make a glass ceiling at height limit above your base, so when it rains it doesn’t effect you.

I love how Joel is starving for half the episode but he could’ve picked up meat veg or bread and spawn and Scott eats leather😂😂

As the season progresses you'll end up with even more stuff for various things. I think as you go on a different themed house for different themed items would be the most fun and efficient way to categorize your stuff instead of putting it all in one pile of chests! Also allows you to build more colorful and themed buildings and identify materials much quicker in a little village of storage houses!

Joel immediately going to the scariest places (the ocean and the nether) and vibing just fine makes me think that his afterlife as a blazeborn might last longer than most Oh and Scott found a cool volcano somewhere so maybe that has some blaze themed blocks

A good catch frase would be “while your lazin I’m blazin”

The starter base almost reminds me of some kind of fire church, and it's really cool (also, seeing blazes struggle with the water problems is always hilarious - there's a water protection enchantment as well as an umbrella in some versions of origins, I'm guessing you might be interested in both!)

Man, since Terralith is installed, Joel really missed out on building in/on a volcano or in the nearby area of one. That would've fitted his origin a lot! Still in love with this whole new series. X-Life was and still is my favourite SMP/series and I can't wait to see more of this!

The nether mod that you guys are using is an absolute nightmare lol. I’m on a origin smp and we have the almost exact same mods. I started off as a strider and it was practically impossible to get out 😭😭. We ended up scrapping the nether mod lol

New to watching this series. BLOWN AWAY by all the incredible mobs!! And the items you can craft are just flat out AMAZING. Love your origin story, your strengths & weaknesses (silly perhaps but esp tour being immune to hunger effects as I always seem to run out of food at the most inopportune moments.) I love it!! When I work on smaller builds for a base I give myself a basement for storage, there’s a lot you can do underground.

I love how all other player of this smp got some foods(carrots bread etc) from spawn and joel just straight looking for an animal to murder 😂😂😂😂

Maybe u could put a ladder down to the extra space on the ground of ur house for chests, and you could put a shed sort of thing for ur worktables and it could be a cute office sort of thing.
