The House in the Corner: Calligraphy 

I watched the movie The Name Of The Rose, and have been fascinated by how monks scribed and illuminated manuscripts back then. I want to try doing this as a hobby, but am having trouble finding anything on it. I'm not sure what to search for honestly. Scribing? Calligraphy? Do you have any suggestions of where an absolute beginner would start to learn these skills? Thank you for your time in reading this.
