I don't think my grandma ever watched me when I played this. But I do recall one time playing it on the 2&3 return on the eii and she asked me what I was playing. I told her house of the dead and she laughed and said "House of the dead, house of the dead! Why can't you play house of the living?" I miss her.
My headcanon is that Gary is actually Leon from the Resident evil series. After escaping from Racoon city Leon got the attention of the Government. They took him in and changed his name to 'Gary Stewart' so that Umbrella Corporation couldn’t track him down. Then Leon/Gary joined the AMS and was trained by veteran agents like Rogan, G and James. After Umbrella went bankrupt Leon dropped the 'Gary Stewart' alias and started to go by his original name Leon S. Kennedy.
I remember my dad and I got the to last boss at the bowling alley with just a quarter. We didn't beat him, but we both thought it was a huge accomplishment
Truly, he has the emotion in his voice to. We could tell he was bothered when goldman committed suicide. James on the other hand was normal, it was like goldman's death was just an *OK* to him
I actually came to check this out since I played through this at a local arcade that just opened & the Magician absolutely destroyed me, but watching your vid helped me understand a better strat for next time, thanks and GG!
You Just Noticed? The Series Follows The Trend Since The First Game. Chariot, Hangedman, Hermit And Magician. Of Course We Have Judgement, Hierophant, Tower, Strength, Magician (Again) And The Emperor. The 3rd Game Has Death, Fool, Sun And Wheel Of Fate. The 4th Installment Introduces Justice, The Lovers, The Empress, Temperance, The Star And The World But Magician Is There Again For The Special Chapter. Scarlet Dawn (Which Is The 5th I Don't Count Overkill In That Regard) The Chariot And Hangedman Return And 2 New Bosses Named High Priestess And Moon
While they're two seperate entities, since "Kural" doesn't have a brain, he does not experience emotions or pain. It's more of a weapon used by Zeal telepathically.
Unlocking the red blood on the Dreamcast version wasn't so hard. You just had to simply beat the game once in Original Mode in order to do so. Though there was still the orange blood effect when you got hit which you couldn't change at all, as was also the case if you played the game on an arcade machine which had the blood set to green too.
thank you for putting a 25 year old mystery out of my head. Long story, couldn't remember the game I played in the arcade as a kid with my cousin and ran through. Course not on one credit
G in HOTD: Kills hordes of zombies, Chariot (twice), Hangedman (twice), Hermit, and the Magician G in HOTD 2: Gets badly injured by Zeal, Kuarl and a bunch of weak-ass zombies.
Hilarious to see this now, after it straight up horrified me as a kid in the 90’s when I’d go to arcades lol. So cheesy now, but omg the zombies looked so damn scary when I was like 5

@@Yunafan2963I Tried Doing Mame Long Back In High School Which As Far As Im Aware You Need A Sega Model 2 For HOTD1 But For HOTD2 I Had The PC Version I Still To This Day Not Sure How To Trigger Netplay.
