That's actually perfect range for me as well I think Rafael did a perfect job lining up the timeline of players on this roster last season and this season and while starting to supplement some veterans into the fold to add to the experience and bring in a known variable to the table.
Could not agree more. People forget that Smith out rebounded Pablo and Chet. If he was the focus of the offense, he would score more than Pablo. Green is a top ten talent and needs to show consistency. Cam is a baller who just needs to learn how to play a complete game - defense, passing, etc. Amen is already an amazing player in his first year. Eason would start for most teams. Sengun is almost an all-star. All backed by three solid veterans in Adams, FVV, and Brooks. I would hate to see one of their young core lead another team to a championship in three years after the Rockets traded them for an aging star. This team has a solid ten man rotation. Let’s give them another year to develop and see how they do. Fifty wins is not out of the question with the Lakers, Warriors, and Clippers in decline.
I think bloggers are going to hard on the Sheppard in the wrong context. I like him for the rockets but he was a highly overdrafted prospect at the end of the day. He isn't a team changing talent that warrants a 3rd round for any team that typically drafts in the top 5 of the NBA draft. Thing is a .500 team typically doesn't draft in the top 3 we draft in the early to mid rounds which is more appropriate for a prospect like reed. I think a comparison is this when we look at a player like Fred and what his contract is we can view it as grossly over paying a player of his caliber. He's not even an all star candidate but his play is a factor that we needed on the roster effective and controlled smart player. Reed also fits that mold an effective and controlled smart player. The raw star talent is around him he just helps keep it in flow so that it moves forward. I love the pick for that reason and that we have someone in front of him like Fred to help mature that process faster as far as his potential goes if he makes one or 2 all stars he's overachieved his potential as a player.
Sheppard makes everyone on the floor better he does it all pass shoot rebound steals high IQ great teammate coachable only knock I have on Reed is sometimes he’s a little to unselfish great pick by the Rockets
