I have a whole CD of Mongolian throat-singing and it is literally mind-altering. So when I first heard these guys it was not surprising to me that they took off really quickly. And something about an Asian man dressed like a warrior swinging that hair back and doing those power moves..OH yeah.

So often, when a group decides to mix folk instruments and styles with modern electric instruments they fail to properly integrate the two types into a cohesive band. I think the HU has done it really, really well. Really love their songs!

Just discovered them, who would have thought Mongolian throat singing and heavy metal would mix so well? I also love the play on their name (The Hu = The Who). The long-haired guy is soooo sexy. I'm 67 and could listen to them (and watch them) all day. Fantastic!!!

OMG...the first time this grandma heard these guys (Wolf Totem) I was totally hooked!! This is exactly what needed to be added to the metal genre. Love their perfect style too. Can't wait to see you guys in Pittsburgh, Pa USA. The Hu is my new favorite "turn the volume AAAAALLLLLLL the way up" metal band!! I think I may have turned my "country music" listening kids into Hu metalheads too. Love you guys, you're awesome!!

The last concert I went to was in Las Vegas to see Madison Rising (before they fired the best member of the band, lead singer @DaveBrayUSA)!! I may have heard all of 3 songs by The Hu so far, but I already love the rolling intensity (the best way I can describe it) of their sound. It's watching and listening a band of Mongols charging into war from afar. I can see them being very popular in Europe with the Northern Euro metal/ rock fans and with a cult following in the US for those of us who like that similar sound.
