Apogee Boom fails to work with iPad Pro (2020) and their support team is not responding to customer request. Think carefully before you buy the product.
The product also has some other annoying issues to be further resolved like the unpleasant noise floor. Please refer to the review of Julian Krause before purchase. • Apogee BOOM - USB Audi...
On 13 Jan 2023, Apogee responded. This problem seems to have been resolved recently by Apogee. Anyone has the similar issue is suggested to update the latest firmware to test. If it no longer is a problem, I am happy to delete this video.

The Apogee Boom has the best converters in the price range of 500 dollars. The DAC is outstanding. Bought it, just need one mic input.

hello, im thinking on getting an apogee boom, do you recomend it? i use it just for vocals, i make rap, trap, dark pop and rock, just vocals, i use a scarlette 2ng gen, i want to upgrade so my mixes can sound more profesional, or should i stay away from dsp interfaces? let me know, regards.. BTW i will use in on windows

@@steffchelios Definetely. It would be a real upgrade from scarlet. I paid 180 euros for, formerly it was 330 euros. It did not have the best reviews since it was expensive having only one mic input. The test voice I recorded was full compared to my thin audient that lacks lows. The headphone amp is outstanding, monotoring is a joy and also recording since it has DSP!!!

@@monkmusic5994 I recently purchased the BOOM for the AD/DA capability and it was a sure step upward for me. Would you really say DAC is better than say a MOTU ultra lite MK5?

Hi, at the point of returning the Boom, it was updated to the latest firmware. I understand that Apogee has noticed this problem following my upload of this video but I am not able to test it any further.

Mine works perfect with the iPad Pro (11 Zoll, 3. Generation)! Of course I can‘t say anything about the 2020 iPad!

All this bit**in' and moanin'..you didn't have technology with this level of quality/conversion at an incredible price point 10 years ago..I come from Pro Tools HD/Apogee Rosetta 200 world you'd spend thousands for arguably the same level of conversion (without mic pres) on an iPhone/iPad no less..$249 street price folks.. $249!! Let go of some of the inconveniences and get back to making music/recording your podcast or voiceover and thank Apogee/UA for making this a reality..

You need to read the compatibility information on their website where it clearly states IOS15 and above which means the iPad 2021 and newer, you have an iPad 2020. Oh asnd it's not pronounced appoe-gee it's pronounced apper-gee.

Just questioning that gear from 2020 might be or not too old is absolutely nuts. So much environmentalism to end up spending 1500 in the latest gadget every two years is just beyond obnoxious. We need to stop that ultra programmed obsolescence naivity crap NOW. Want a better world? We could start with this consumerist bs already. Start feeling guilty today, as you read. Do something.
