honestly disappointed the moment that QT got a phone call in the middle of the number squares one, spoke on the phone for a minute, then finished the test correctly, didn’t make it into the video.
The actual clip is here that QT uploaded on her Clips channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--4YMlle1rtI.html Don't click EWOUT or human being's fake clips
im so impressed with qt’s skill!! it’s impressive that she remembered all of that but especially because she created a mind palace without knowing. creating a mind palace to memorize a sequence is creating a story, going through something familiar and associating things in that place with what you’re trying to remember (etc.) it takes time and practice to do successfully but she killed it off the bat. that was so amazing qt!! :)
@@aaronpacheco3553 it’s not that common to create one and utilize it, especially doing it successfully without knowing what it is, but even if it was, i still think it’s impressive :)
I've used Loci's method for years now, but I never thought It was pratical for something that you should do fast like this, always reserved It for more complicated matters. Maybe I should start using It when playing this kind of minigame then
Btw the chimps at 5:00 do it after looking at the numbers for like half a second, no sitting there and planning for a while, so it’s still extremely impressive, they didn’t really actually beat the chimps.
RU-vid frogs will miss the best part of this stream. The clip is on Ludwin (I think) QT gets a phone call midway through that chimp test, then gets back to it quickly and Lud was so shocked how easy it was for her
Ludwig being simultanously confused and impressed by QT's ability to accidentally create a mind palace is golden. It might seems strange but a mind palace, creating a story to memorise a sequence, is actually insanely difficult and its one of the best strategies for memorising longer sequences. I was super impressed that she was able to do that and seemingly just out of instinct as well
The reaction time quiz is the worst test to base your reaction times on because there is delay in internet and plus when it takes time to move your finger vs the moment the twitch starts
The thing cutie was doing by saying and associating weird words and sort of creating a story with each number is actually very similar to how people memorize entire deck orders for playing cards. Also when she broke bigger numbers into chunks, another technique for memorizing. The one where you need to draw the pattern (amd they remain) you look at the white until it becomes to much to memorize then look at the smaller negative space and avoid those insteadt of trying to memorize the larger white spaces.
I ended up taking the test bc I thought it would have been fun and did pretty bad overall (haha) but I did get first in the sequence memory with 22! (I'm 17 for reference)
I'm a bit confused about the cimpanzee test, I'm sitting at 20 rn with no strikes, am I supposed to be allowed to take my time until I'm confident with the whole pattern? This seems a bit too easy, I'm taking on average like a minute or a bit over on each one after level15
tried to go faster and got my first strike on 21 and gave up because I couldn't be bothered, ended in 99.3 percentile? Are people just too impatient? I don't really get it
@@kiiturii have you considered that maybe you have a visual memory or some amount of photographic memory? i think it's a lot to do with visualization (from someone who fails around 10). If theres no defining pattern i struggle a lot with remembering sequences like that
ANYONE could get a high enough score if they took the time to memorize, but imo this test should measure your short-term memory so i think to get a more accurate score you shouldn’t take long for every pattern. i like to keep it balanced and combine speed with just enough time to (maybe) memorize the whole pattern
search "Are you smarter than a chimpanzee?" on youtube. They only get a split second to see all the numbers. Honestly very impressive when you watch how fast their reactions and memory are.
For the visual memory with the box, after the white squares dissapeares the blue was a different colour 😂 that basically meant I could see what squares they were
For some reason on the Chimp test, I felt like after 12 or 13 it started getting randomly easier? Breaking them up into sections was easier than the earlier rounds I got up to like 25.
