This is such an interesting lesson in game desing: One simple assumption from the devs (pressing V to open the locator) can bring so much chaos and confusion to a subset of players. Makes me think of the larger assumptions taken in other games and how inaccessible games can truly be. When you've been playing videogames all your life, you dont really think of that.
I absolutely loved the fact that you skipped the tutorial part, that would have specifically, step by step, walked you through how to do the basic fundamentals of the game. :)
I blame the berries! I skipped that dialog describing the food I discovered on accident, and it skipped the whole tutorial! Oops 😂 thank you for watching!
few tips btw: you can jsut press spacebar once when crafting to no thave to hold the button use v to scan for ore slide jumping is a faster way to get around then just running. Cool vid!
I loved watching you work this out without the info. Your ability to keep your frustration in check was impressive. But, although it sounds cruel, it was quite fun to watch your annoyance grow😊. I think you've just uncovered a bit of a design flaw with the tutorial. Looking forward to watching more of this series. Thanks for the content.
I would chalk it up to user error to be honest… wouldn’t want to blame the tutorial! Maybe a concurrent list or something but I definitely skipped it lol. Happy to have you! Hope you enjoy!
I can’t make fun of you because my start was similarly cringey. But I have to say I’m impressed that you didn’t manage to at least accidentally stumble across a resource node up to this point 😂
this was 33 minutes of pain, oof, sorry buddy, I was hopeful when you started trying different letters to press, but you gave up after the second button LUL.
