Sheikh Hamza is not coming clean completely. He would gain my respect when he also highlights the shameful behavior of Egyptian, Jordan, UAE, Saudi, Irani, Pakistani governments by their inability and tacit approval for carrying out this genocide. They only care about their Kingdoms. They need to be pointed and called out and they must be pressured to do more. Otherwise, I am afraid, these are just crocodile tears.

@@mrkashifhaqwhat leverage do those countries truly have. Almost all of them are in enormous debt where the populace is living in abject poverty, especially place like Egypt. Also those countries were impacted by internal chaos caused by sectarian Muslims themselves for decades that have completely weakened them. We have to be honest about the situation.

There are plenty of tearful videos online about the Palestinian plight. How about something less cliched: a conversation about the facilitation of the oppression by powerful Muslim countries such as the UAE. As Muslims, surely it's ourselves, our own, whom we should examine first. Isn't this why rightly admire Chomsky and Finkelstein et. al.

Indeed, may Allah bless Shaykh Hamza. I am one of those who have benefited tremendously from him since I met him in 1998. However, that doesn't mean he has to be right on every issue. On his closeness to the UAE regime and the sell-out that is the Abraham Accords, I think he is wrong.

Palestinians have told us what they want: shout it in the streets and beg your governments to stop. Hamza's paltry responses seem to even throw Chris hedges off (1:02, 1:07) It comes down to this: we are in a crises. The Palestinians have told us what they need. And not one request was philosophizing. A response to Palestinians would be Zaytuna college organizing protests. And coordinating political power hours (students calling representatives). The Palestinians have asked us to shout and Hamza is whispering.

I just want to correct something. The Maghrebian gate is not the Moroccan gate. Actually, Jerusalem has more Maghrebin of Algerian origin than Moroccan. The word Maghrebi is badly translated as Moroccan when it means North African ( Tunisian, Algerian and Moroccan). Sidi Boumediene of Tlemcen had his hand cut off during a war against Crusaders in Palestine and it was buried in Jerusalem where there is a Waqf under his name in Jerusalem. So please , stop translating the Maghrebi gate as the Moroccan gate because it is not.

Attacking civilians is prohibited in Islam. If we do not condemn attacking civilians, then with the same logic, the enemy has a right to commit genocide, as they are doing. Does Islam also speak about annexation of occupation. I am Christian and a woman. I started reading Israeli news years ago at the promptings in prayer. My understanding of my religion has changed significantly in asking where is justice? and why is it so hard to forgive? So I don't know Islam, but I do know Judaic scriptures. Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace, but a sword; he said the truth will set you free. It is a hard lesson. But once you start to know who you are to god, you also know he honors with an unbreakable faith your prayers for your children, he will hold them like a shepherd and he will see his people through death. The enforced unity of an idea is a wrong idea. God says "You don't know my thoughts; my ways are not your ways." He says he does "new things." I believe He makes each person perfect for His kingdom. That is our same God. Jesus said to his few, rather thick in the head disciples, "I have others who are not of t his tribe." God is doing something.
