All the game in the area including the hippo and buffalo as well. The size of croc I took has no limits to what it would kill. But most importantly the people on the charra river were dozens are taken every year celebrated a maneater no longer around. Hope you join us later this month were I took a giant maneater croc that makes this guy who was well over 14ft look like a baby. One of the best hunts I have ever captured on film. Thank you my friend. It was a tremendous croc. Smart old guy, we saw him but he didn’t come in for two days to the bait, and we had to move to blind to to the other side of the river (longer shot)to get it done. I killed a maneater croc of many lifetimes in Namibia this summer and it will be best shooting sequence we have ever filmed. Had to take the shot on the croc at 250 yards. Video will be live in mid October. There are some short videos on the channel where you can see his size. Hope you check out some of our other videos as well. Great to have you on the quest. They are some very dangerous crocs That navigate the rivers in rural Africa. The local people are very easy targets as they have no choice but to come to the rivers to survive. Check out the giant maneater I took out of the kwando river this summer It’s the biggest croc I have ever hunted.
@muckle8

You’ve literally saved dozen lives by taking that monster out - full marks for your efforts
@AHuntersQuest
@AHuntersQuest Год назад
@@muckle8 thank you my friend. It’s nice to make a positive contribution to the areas we hunt in Africa. It is my opinion the crocs take more humans than any other animals. They are such cunning and effective predators. Very important to manage them by taking out the maneaters.
@muckle8
@muckle8 Год назад
I’m certain your quite correct about the crocs taking more local people there than anything else sadly - they are used to having humans on their menu in that area definately. I’d reckon that if the locals were able to avoid the river for 2 weeks or so then the crocs would come looking for them - it would make it easier to nail them if they did that - just a theory
@AHuntersQuest
@AHuntersQuest Год назад
@@muckle8 good point. I will hunt them every chance I get when around a river system that has enhanced activity. The human/wildlife conflict is real in rural Africa. Hope to have a 3rd croc video on the channel next year. The video we did for alligator is also quite interesting as they are very dangerous as well.

How does removing ONE crocodile make it any safer? That's Idiotic
@AHuntersQuest
@AHuntersQuest Год назад
Because that specific croc was significantly larger than the others and a confirmed maneater. Crocs in general take many local villagers all over africa but when a croc gets comfortable taking people they need to be harvested.
@curtriedel5036
@curtriedel5036 Год назад
So why not weed out the population of crocodiles in that "particular area"? There would be less of a chance of encroachment by smaller crocs on the larger ones territory and therefore less competition for food.
@AHuntersQuest
@AHuntersQuest Год назад
@@curtriedel5036 honestly not a bad idea but proper game management in rural Africa is not going to happen. That’s the unfortunate reality.

"to help the local community", what a great excuse for shooting beautiful animals living in their natural environment...please, do not portrait yourself as a hero.
@dutertreseb
@dutertreseb Год назад
@@Johnnyprc hi John-Paul, I expected this argument, and I admit it is easy for me to say crocs are beautiful animals from my comfortable place where there is none. All I want to convey here is that local people are used to live with them, for thousands of years , and did not wait for western cowboys to "save" them from crocs.
@AHuntersQuest
@AHuntersQuest Год назад
The video was not to make the crocodiles a villain, they have the right to exist in the rivers in africa. However, when a monster croc becomes a consistent maneater, it needs to be taken out. Once they get comfortable taking people, they don’t stop. Helpful to understand what it’s like on the ground. The people have no choice. They have to use the river for there survival. They need to be protected. All species including crocodiles need to be managed.
@Nyasalands_Finest

What a privileged statement. Wait till your water and protein comes from the river and you have no option but to go there to feed your family.. Let that croc take your son or child and we'll see if your tone stays the same..
