This is just hating on her cuz she's a woman at this point. Their relationship was one of the better contract relationships in most dramas. They took care of each other they actually cared enough about each other. But they also started their relationship as a lie. So naturally there's going to be some problems at some point. And that's essentially what this is. It's not like she pretended that she was going to be a homemaker and then decided to have a career she was obviously a career woman the whole time.

She supported him in everything. Yup, she either didn't know what he was asking, or didn't care. He didn't ask her if she would choose her EX, he ask her if she loved him, its a simple answer.

Right, she blew it right there. She needed to just tell him she loved him. Instead all the complex stuff about hypotheticals and that we're already married, etc. That didn't work at all. Because all he heard is that she didn't love him. While it would have been smart for him to stick around for her to realize her feelings - it's understandable someone could leave under that circumstance. This drama had great chemistry but extra helpings of unnecessary angst.

Didn't she the next episode literally tell herself that she should have answered. This is just accurate to what humans do.

Because she doesn’t know what she wants that’s why the ML wanted a divorce. She’s in a marriage without having the mentality that comes with a marriage. The marriage however started on a lie, so of course the commitment wouldn’t be same vs them getting married on their own accord. The ML wants them to be married for real, this concept flew over a lot of viewers head. There needs to be some progression in a marriage, but she is fine with how the way things are. Getting complacent in a relationship is common occurrence around many broken relationships. Her needs and wants keep flip-flopping depending on the situation, which eventually comes around to her just going through the motions. The ML wanted more out of their relationship, but she didn’t at the time, hence the divorce. I had to watch the last 3 episodes a few times to really get it myself. She never ever tells him she loves him, so he’s questioning if she truly loves him or not. I don’t think she really knew the answer herself until the end of episode because of their time apart.

I would’ve loved it if he was more of a man in the relationship too, but I think the untraditional role balance was the entire point. It adds to her character feeling so strongly that women should have equality in the workplace. It would be a bit weird for them to have a different dynamic. I really hope Xu Kai has/will do a drama embracing the more masculine role. This drama reminds me of Forever and Ever. The ML was such a pushover it was unattractive.

I meet unemotional women everyday . They’re usually a feminist career driven women that hide loneliness and emptiness . They build a shield to not get hurt and is so tiring dealing with them . They drain your energy and life becomes miserable . He made the right choice , she needs to assess her life , prioritize and heal .

There are plenty of women who aren't emotional. I've always been accused of being hyperrational. I rationalise emotions, I like to cut to the chase. She seemed perfectly relatable to me, someone who finds the whole risk and stress of gambling on a lover etc stressfull. She settles into the relationship with Yanghua so comfortably because it gives her security and certainty from the getgo. I did the same when I met my ex. I literally said from day one "I am looking for someone to form a family and have children with, I don't have time or energy for will they/won't they and uncertainties and courthsip." Sure, we are a minority but minorities also appear as characters in films. Yanghua is a little bit of an Asperguer guy, she is brillaint but emotionally defensive. All of these characters exist in my life, I know people like them.
