The Hustle - Fab Jazz ft. Members of One Light Orchestra (Van Mccoy Cover) 

I am 68, and have lived through the entire disco era. For me, this was the best musical era in my life. Somehow, Van McCoy's " Hustle", the masterpiece it was, always evoked a tinge of sadness in me, and still does. This is the best rendition of "The Hustle" I have ever heard. The flautist and trumpeteer were like the original. The violins' simulation could have been more pronounced, as this helped define disco music. But aside from that I say " KUDOS" to all the arrangers, producers, engineers, singers and musicians for an excellent job. Van McCoy would have been extremely proud of you all. During the 70's I was a young engineer in the Royal Navy, on two separate occasions I visited Manila and Subic Bay in the Philippines, whilst at these fantastic stops I would ( as you do ) tour the bar areas and listened to some absolutely fantastic local bands turning out some of these very same songs . I don't know if you are a band from the Philippines but let me tell you, you sound fantastic with your own unique sound but also spot on with the authenticity of these songs. You have brought back some wonderful memories and I will be following you. Well done all of you.

I may be wrong but the 60s and 70s was a renaissance for music. But, to hear these young people playing this old music gives me hope that "real" musicians and lyric writers/creators are alive somewhere creating.

This is truly a magnificent cover of the song that most typified the Disco Era, Van McCoy's "The Hustle". I'm 77 and from Brooklyn, New York City and was a deejay throughout the entire disco era and had met Van McCoy several times over the years and he would be very proud of your accomplishment. Every part of the band was perfect and the young ladies singing the chorus were wonderful. I'm now a subscriber and look forward to hearing more of your work. I've also been to Davao twice, once in 1969 when I was in the military and then again in 1991 and really enjoyed myself. The warmth and friendliness of the Filipino people will always be in my heart. Mabuhay !!!!!!

Wow they sound like a record! Van would be so proud to see how far his composition has gone. Only the vocals are a bit shy and they forgot to say "do the hustle!" But the musical side is absolutely nailing it.
