Hey Chris - This looks real cool but there are so many real cool synths out there :-) Could you maybe list 2 or 3 that are hands-on and great for ambient. Let's say up to 2500K but don't let price stop you :-) Cheers

I bought a Korg Modwave 2 weeks ago and it's a sound monster. Especially when it comes to Ambient. The only disadvantage is, it has no aftertouch/expression. but still awesome.

Just use an external keyboard for the poly aftertouch in the modwave something like a cheap XKey would do the job.

Chris I AM looking to get a Deluxe. I AM wondering if there is any way to backup your patches that you create onto an SD card or other format?

Don't know if you still need this question answered, but I own a Hydra and ASM has a dedicated patch manager, with which you can backup, export and import patches to your hearts desire.

Not bad...but...Module Select buttons are all lit with the same colour even when selected, which makes navigation hard. No way to directly enter patch numbers.
