I got a shirt from DC United modeled on The Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, which is located just a few minutes away from Audi Field in downtown DC. ‘Unite The District’ is the slogan here - as the club looks to bring together the community, inspire new supporters and look at both the past and future for the team.
On the back, I got Benteke 20. I fell in love with Bentekkers when he was at Aston Villa. Benteke literally saved us from relegation on his own multiple times. DC has a club mantra of uniting everyone and delivering a positive impact on the city - which they’ve nailed with this shirt.
