The Iconic Talon - DCS: T-38A Announcement Trailer 

Mover and Gonky will no doubt put their real world T-38 pilot skills into use to evaluate this free module. Hope it’s up to the task as they will no doubt make a RU-vid video with their opinion on accuracy and how good it is. Better yet… they should be part of the test team for the developers if they aren’t already.

Personally liked having trainers in DCS. Funny that when other trainers come out, people usually hate on them but folks really seem to like this one. I thought it was going to be a paid module, but was pleasantly surprised it's a community module! Everything looks really good!

You know what I love most about the trailer and when I got excited?- when I read 2025. Don’t rush it guys, make something great!

This is awesome! A good addition as well for those like me which love the F-5. Airshows, unit flight training, solo flight training, going to be super useful as far as a trainer goes.

Why does this make me more excited than any of the fighters...

I'll have to get my astronaut buddy to take this for a spin once he's home from the ISS, though he's able to just go sign out a real T-38 like a club car lol

Flight Simulator had one of these years ago and it was the toughest a/c to land, so even though I already have the F-5, I'll probably get this too. Beautiful aircraft. It's free? holy crap!

This wouldn’t be linked to the switch to heavy use of simulation for primary flight training would it? The real planes are getting old with no replacements. A full fidelity module with good sim pit would fit that need very nicely.

The T-38 from Milviz it's an amazing add-on: they used actual NASA and Northrop data for modeling the flight performance and engine performance. Tested by real T-38 pilots. Hope this one it's at least as better as Milviz!!

I like fighter plane since I was a kid, but I couldn't make my pilot dream, and instead, I achieved it with flight simulation. DCS gives me a lot of fun and comfort. To teach someone who is novice in flight simulation, you need to sit in the back seat of the fighter F5F to make it feel like it's flying, and it's interesting. someone is developing the T38 Talon as a MOD, which I don't think makes much sense in the DCS gaming world because it's unarmed. (A very small group of people who've been flight-trained as real T38a in the U.S. are just toys to recall their memories, and T38 mod is not very useful to virtual pilots who haven't been trained on real planes like us. There's no fun with weapon-firing, so where do you use the T38?) I heard that BELSIMATEK, the producer of F5E, has been merged into ED, but I think it will be F5F if you take a little care of the currently released F5E. How good would it be to make F5F in ED and sell it to people who already own F5E for around 20 dollar per COPY? What do you think about my opinion?

First off, great job! Lovely looking aircraft. But I did laugh a little when it said "cutting edge trainer" it has been outclassed since the F-4E..

Awesome! I really hope there's good training missions for this one. All the other trainers are pretty much useless with their lack (or bad design) of training missions. At least for the Talon we have the official USAF training manuals to follow.
