The Idea of You Movie Review | Why Anne Hathaway's Performance Should Not Be Missed 

I love a good rom-com and Michael Showalter’s latest film on Prime Video, The Idea of You, was a perfect Saturday night movie.
The film features a fantastic cast, led by the luminous Anne Hathaway and starring Nicholas Galitizine as a Harry Styles type boy-bander who becomes infatuated with Hathaway’s Solene after a chance encounter at Coachella. That’s right, a chance encounter at Coachella, which means whatever reservations you have about this film from that line alone, leave it out the door.
Showalter is able to sweep you into a story that really might not have worked as well without Hathaway. She dominates every scene with even the softest voice, and it inspired me to go back through some of her filmography and marvel at how wonderful she has been throughout her career. If you haven’t seen her performance in Rachel Getting Married, do yourself a favor and make it a double feature.
