The Illustrious Ancestors features multi-instrumentalist/ singer/songwriter John Kruth on vocals, electric mandolin, flute, electric sitar, guitar, harmonica, and bulbul tarang (Indian keyed zither), with Willie Aron on keyboards, guitar and voice, bassist Dave Soyars, and percussionist Devin Flynn. Blending their own funky brand of Americana roots with interstellar “Country and Eastern” jams, the Illustrious Ancestors feature Kruth’s spell-binding and often hilarious lyrics and stories to funky, prodigious instrumental improvisation. Special guest Carolyn Soyars on keyboards and vocals.
