@@wilsonhello9224 I'm sorry what? The Enigma Code was such a small part of Turing's impacts. He built the first general-purpose computer in history - his work in computer science created the most fundamental building blocks of programming today. This music makes me sad thinking about Prof.Turing, but satisfied that he lived life on his own terms. There is a sense of pride i feel when I hear this, as a person who has education and job in the field Prof. Turing began. Thanks to him, WW2 ended in victory and I feel sorry for him because it took 50 years for Britain to recognize him as a hero. Yes, Alexandre is without peer as a creator of film soundtracks now that we have lost the maestro ENNIO MORRICONE... For those who know little about Alexandre's achievements just look at the titles of the films he has provided the music for... If your a film buff like me you'll be stunned.... He won the academy award for the soundtrack to the wonderful film THE SHAPE OF WATER, but of all his wonderful works there is nothing to beat this ... the film is immense with Benedict Cumberbatch quite magnificent as the brilliant but doomed Alan Turing....Oh and the Colourbond organisation did superbly to use this main theme in there advertising campaign.

One of the most historically incredible movies. Alan Turing did not crack the Enigma code first. Because this code has long been cracked by Polish cryptologists. For the first time, the cryptograms encoded with Enigma were deciphered by Polish cryptologists in December 1932 at the Saski Palace in Warsaw, which housed the Cipher Bureau of the Second Department of the Polish Army General Staff. The work of Poles, mainly Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski, allowed for further work on decoding the ciphers. Around October 1938, Rejewski developed another electromechanical device, called a crypto bomb, whose task was to automatically break the Enigma code. Despite modest funds, the team of Polish cryptologists continued to work on Enigma, perfecting mathematical methods of decryption and still deciphering German correspondence. Shortly thereafter, in Great Britain, in the decryption center in Bletchley Park under the direction of Alan Turing and based on Polish materials, work began on the decryption of Enigma using extensive and modified cryptology bombs.

@@krshnabakth The more you compare this movie with real facts, the more it differs from them. For example, the cryptology department was considered one of the most important units in the entire British Army. Under the special patronage of Prime Minister Churchill. British counterintelligence watched over them more than the Queen of England. The research was conducted by several hundred people from several countries.

Grand Budapest's great, but this might actually be Desplat's best score.

I think this song here can describe so many amazing people who have an excellent brain and memory, but unfortunately have had overwhelming obstacles in life. i can even feel myself to be in this kinda position, but i sure can,t compare to this genius here. R.I.P. Alan Turing.
