alright, here is a small explanation about The Imitator abilities, most of including :
-The Imitator (himself)
-Small Companion (baby lizard)
-Lizard Social
-Walking GPS ( lizard location system)
Buff:
-Increasing Time (increasing ability time using)
Debuff:
-Karma
-MDD
-Starving Friend
-Bad Taste (food poisoning)
Character: The Imitator and Pickle the lizard
* i was about to turn this into mod but still need time to study more about modding stuffs and also code, hope that some days i can see Imitator's first step*

more functions is that their stomach can be storage 3 items superhear when imitate the black lizard and strength from imitated a green or red lizard ( just like gourmand when they speared, or maybe increase Imitator's protection that can took 1-2 spear hits without dying

I think MDD being 100% death is not going to be fun, you could make it like it drops from poles randomly when you are in danger or runs slower or even stops randomly when being chased. Also i really adore the little lizard idea.

So is their diat restricted to just centipedes, jet fish, yeeks, squidkata, scavengers, popcorn, vulture grubs, vultures, noodle flies, and spiders? It may seem like I listed a lot, but these are often few and far between. It can easily be a harder fight than green, blue, pink, orange, white, and black. You show them not liking vegie/fruit but, at the same time, unable to eat lizards, which are the primary food source for the carnivorous slugcats in many of the regions. It can be hard enough crossing farm arrays without needing to find a centipede or 2 before sleeping, as lizards are far more common near almost every shelter.

I actually love this but here’s one critique!! I would say the suicide one is not something you should implement. Because while Rainworld is a brutal game, suicide is a real world topic that can actually be pretty triggering to be irl and he’ll end up waking back up a cycle later :( I’d personally replace it with the slugcat becoming slower. Needing more food, staying in its nest for longer periods of (valuable) time sleeping. Feeling physically ill (from how many lizards it’s killed). When it defends itself while depressed, it won’t fight back as much. Fur is visibly pale. Maybe even die of heart break/stress. I love the sweet scent thing attracting baby lizards though, it’s so cute he has a bunch of little buddies.

Even if you can only get strawberry lizards through linage in earlier slugcats, (which I presume this takes place around) you should be able to eat strawberry lizards, because literally every lizard can eat them apart from themselves.

The MDD idea isn't bad, but I think it needs a rework. Instead of killing yourself, you have similar affects to starvation (slower, drop alot, pass out, ect).

Quite a few mechanics for one slugcat! A few of them don't seem like they would synergize well, such as karma affecting ability length and storing 3 items. Simplification is important: dumping too many mechanics on one slugcat might make it confusing without having to add extra visual indicators. It's up to you how complex you want the slugcat, if you like it how it is then go with it!

That's so cool and original! I would literally love to play this slugcat, I've never seem something like that, just that the suicide thing is a bit... Creepy if you ask me... Maybe it could be a lot of bad effects that last until the end of the cycle... Yet, if I knew how to code I swear I would make this slugcat instantly

Me after I accidentally stab the lizard the vulture is carrying because they are irritatingly good at using them as meat shields: Traumatized Me after I accidentally stab a lizard 50% of the time or 100% if tamed: M.D.D. I guess I would never actually get the M.D.D. status because I would have already done myself in. Only one that goes against my play style would be Bad Taste because if I see a lizard corpse there for one reason or another as a carnivore, I'd rather not waste food. Also no, if it was a tamed lizard corpse, you'd see me finding the nearest way to die.

nah Bad Taste only give you some dozen pov and make Imitator slow, like mushroom effect, it wont kill the imitator :D

@@isopdumpbunbun Maybe, but intentionally making them suffer, even if it's just minor food poisoning of some sort, leaves a bad taste in my mouth (I swear this wasn't intentional). I'm surprised how well you would be able to force the lizard pacifist play-style with these debuffs. It is scarily similar to how I actually play the game, albeit a bit more lenient. If you ever do make this into a mod, the only request I make is that you either somehow get rid of the "All" reputation stat, or nullify its affects. Since it can completely mitigate your lizard reputation if it gets low enough, even if you never harmed any lizards. Killing 20 or so scavengers in order to protect lizard friends only for it to cause all lizards in the region to become aggressive is probably the only thing in Rain World I truly hate.

@@isopdumpbunbun Which part? The "All" reputation stat part? You can see the reputation table if you enable dev tools (with O) and then press M while playing the game. Oh yeah it doesn't make your tamed lizards aggressive, but the pacify effect on the other lizards from good lizard reputation is revoked.
