About the Haaretz-UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center 2024 Conference, "Israel After October 7":
The Hamas assault on Israel on October 7 and the war it triggered in Gaza-by far the most deadly conflict between Israel and the Palestinians since 1948-are seismic shocks whose impact is yet to be fully understood. What's already clear is that the magnitude of these events will have major, long-term repercussions for Israel's foreign relations, Israeli-Palestinian relations, Jewish communities worldwide, and Israel's domestic politics and societal relations. This conference will explore these repercussions, offering insights and analyses from a wide range of speakers. Going beyond the news of the day, the conference will provide viewers from around the world with a much-needed comprehensive, yet nuanced, understanding of how the October 7 attack and resulting war have profoundly changed Israel and its critical relationships in an unprecedented fashion.
This conference was organized by the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies and Haaretz newspaper-Israel's oldest, continuously-published newspaper. The conference is sponsored by The Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation.

This was very interesting to Watch for someone trying to grasp all perspectives.

Very interesting point of views and reflections from the panelists. I was underwhelmed with the Rabbi who spent most of her time being very empathetic to Jews in Germany, who have food, a roof over their head, schools, water etc., being afraid of real or perceived antisemitism, while she failed to mention the daily imagery calamity coming out from Palestine and their real threat of survival hour by hour.

I’m with JVP & If Not Now & I have never heard or said that Israelis need to leave or that Israel shouldn’t exist at all. Also, being “pro-Palestinian” is not being pro Khamas or anti-Jewish.
