As for committing the first-borns to the Lord being an act of redemption, it makes sense in that that first child is going to lead the rest of the children and influence the path that they walk down. So, logically, it makes sense that you would commit your first child to the Lord and that would redeem those that follow THROUGH BEHAVIOR.

everyone HAS the opportunity to tithe. Even if you only get a dollar a month, you tithe 10 cents. Cause it is not about the amount, it is about the principle, the same for everyone, 10%

Since watching this sermon morning, which this video is much longer and detailed on GTV, I finally can relate to how to "Return" to God what he has blessed me with financially with even the right mindset with evidence through several scriptures in the Old Testament. In the Beginning of Time "Returning" to God what is his was God's expectation of Cain and Able and how God rejected Cain's tithe, and why he accepted Abel's "Return." This was 2500 years before the Law of Moses even. You can't Give what is not yours to God, you can only "Return" it. Pastor Robert being a Theologian as well makes it so mush easier to understand the meaning of scripture, you gain insight into scripture and that is why I listen to his teachings for a better understand of what the authors of the Bible intended us to know. Awesome Teachings. I will be forwarding this message to my family members to help them understand about Tithing.

however, like Robert also says, do not be legalistic about it. When you allocate the 10% BEFORE paying bills/spending, like you set these 10% apart while your heart already chose to return it to God, than it is still okay. Some people are not a member of a church yet, so they have to decide to save it for a while or give it to where they get their spiritual food from, like church on line. Just make sure the next time it is FIRST.

My washing machine/car is going to break down anyway (wear and tear) whether I tithe or not, right? Tithing doesn't completely exempt me from experiencing trouble/inconvenience? I really can't wonder: "but why did this happen to me, when I am a consistent tither?" I should/do still tithe because of all the other principles.🙏🙏

Does tithing have to be to a church? Can it be to an orphanage or a homeless shelter?
@hansvandenberg6464
@hansvandenberg6464 Месяц назад
No. you return it to God! It will be the church you go to, and if you don't have a church yet, but you follow a preacher online, you give it to that church on line. In the bible every 3rd year people gave EXTRA tithes to widows and orphans (not the homeless) still after that the tithe to Gods House. Giving to the homeless should be your offering AFTER tithing.

everyone can tithe. tithe is 10% NOT A CERTAIN AMOUNT. If you have a dollar, you tithe 10 cent. It is that simple. If oyu have 10 dollar you tithe 1,, read Beyond Blessed, and find out how you can also take care of bills and debts WHILE tithing! "I would get spiritual returns"? When I tithe I even get financial returns sometimes. Maybe relisten the full series on the blessed life, and see what might be the issue

It's interesting how there's no such thing as a biblical tithe that was received from earned wages nor did Jesus or God ever ask anyone for their money. Monetizing the tithe was man's idea after the Bible was written.

Is the offering the same thing
@hansvandenberg6464
@hansvandenberg6464 Месяц назад
NO, the 10% is returning to God what is His and trust Him to bless the 90% left. THEN, every monday as Paul says in scripture we decide in our heart what we will give next sunday to the offering. That can be much smaller than the tithe or bigger, just what your heart tells. Donating to Compassion, Open Doors, etc, is also part of offering, not part of tithe

So, the example Robert Morris gave for tithing the first 10% was of the increase or profit of a landscaper doing a project. If I were to adapt the same logic to myself doing contract work or for someone at a regular full time 9-5 job, I would have to conclude that I’ve been “overgiving” the tithe for roughly 25 years. In the example, the landscaper deducted the labor, materials and other business costs first and then gave the tithe on the profit at the end. When I hear the question in churches sometimes, “do you give the tithe on my gross or my net income?” The answer from a pastor has always been, “which one do you want God to bless?” But then that’s a selfish answer from the pastors. And manipulative. Because the most biblically accurate answer using Robert Morris’s example should be, “neither.” If I’m working a 9-5 job, then I would first have to take the net, after taxes since that’s technically also a business expense, then subtract any other expense that I had from doing that job. So, if I have to commute, I’d subtract my fuel and maintenance expenses, registration, insurance etc. based on mileage, or my trolley fare. Then I’d subtract anytime I’ve bought clothes or shoes for work that month, anything I spent on lunch, anything I spent on training and equipment etc. What’s left is my profit or increase… according to Robert Morris, this is what I set aside 10% from for the tithe. I’m not saying it’s bad to give more but I do think it’s unfair or downright wrong for pastors to deceive people about their giving. In the end we should all be giving because we love God, not because our pastor tells us to and we should be clear on how we come up with the correct amount. And it would be normal for the amount to change over time because the price of gas fluctuates, we don’t need a new pair of work pants or work shoes every month, etc. in fact, the profit or increase is probably higher most months and lower only a few times out of the year.
@hansvandenberg6464
@hansvandenberg6464 Месяц назад
no, you get it wrong. he did NOT say the first 10% was of the increase or profit. But he told that ALSO from increase/profit you give 10%. Overgiving is impossible. You give from your monthly income 10%. Profit is already when you have paid labor, materials, and then from what is left you give 10%. IF you "Overgave" tithe for 25 years, and did it with your heart, I ASSUME God blessed that and gave more work, businessgrowth or even financial returns other ways.
@SwissArmyGuy
@SwissArmyGuy Месяц назад
Oh, absolutely @@hansvandenberg6464! God has blessed us in so many ways it's impossible to recount and in so many things that money cannot buy. But can you explain your position? What I'm understanding you saying is that you would tithe on your monthly income AND from your profit. Is that what you are saying? And can you please elaborate on what you are saying with this sentence: "Profit is already when you have paid labor, materials, and then from what is left you give 10%."

God don’t need your $, he needs you to love one another….he talks about principles….phtt! If one ran him over he wouldn’t know it!

I know what tithing is, its food, not money. Scriptures say that your supposed to eat your tithes in the place where Yahuah chooses his name to abide, it was Jerusalem, not the church. Also, the tithes of the Israel were given to the Levites, because they were given no land of thier own. So tithing had always been about food, not money. Yahusha fulfills tithing for us on our behalf. Tithing was part of the ceremonial laws, which has been fulfilled and done away with, there is no temple today. But scripture says that we are the temple of Elohim. As for me, I know that I cannot tithe the biblical way, its not possible for most people today. When Abraham tithed to Melchizedek, it was the tithe of the SPOILS OF WAR. He never gave anything to Melchizedek out of his own increase, but returned it back to the kings of sodom. Tithing has been fulfilled already by the Messiah, and its not commanded in the new testament for believers today. But Scriptures does say that believers are supposed to give freely to those with a cheerful heart, 2 Corinthians 9.7. Paul, peter, james, and john make no mention about tithing in the new testament. Robert morris is right about declaring that people should always give as they feel led to. Take care and Elohim bless you guys.
@ladennayoung2939
@ladennayoung2939 10 месяцев назад
God says in the Bible to feed His sheep. Do you think that is speaking of literal food? We are to NEVER argue or debate the word of God. We should take EVERYTHING back to God in prayer for further clarity, insight, and knowledge from Him in Jesus' name. I mean, GOD wrote it through Holy men, and they wrote it with NO error. So I think HE could clear it up for us.
@Scripturesdude6361
@Scripturesdude6361 10 месяцев назад
@ladennayoung2939 Now, tithing is not commanded for believers today, but giving to those with a cheerful heart is what scripture speaks about. If tithing was still binding on believers today, how come Paul, John, Peter, or James never spoke about it in the new testament letters?
