Making a comment March 2024. My husband and I decided to watch Chosen for one of our Lenten practice this season. We both are obsessed, falling deeper in our faith and in deeper love with Jesus Christ our Lord. This morning I downloaded Hallow. I was bringing my elderly Mom to her multiple medical appointments and the daily devotional/ rosary were beautiful. My mom was impressed and so was I. I cannot wait for the night time prayers to help with my insomnia. First time listener and was brought to this podcast because of Jonathan Roumie. God Bless all of you

Jonathan recounted his experience as a 10 yr old kid, after watching a movie about ' the ' passion of Christ ', he made a life-sized crucifix, enacted up to the crucifixion. I would say, even as a boy, he manifested that seed of closeness to Jesus, in a childlike faith. Beautiful !

Jonathan Roumie as Jesus in the Chosen, really depicts the persona of how I have perceived Jesus Christ to be: gentle, kind, humble, wise, fun yet strong and having a presence that pulls you in. It seems that’s also how Jonathan is as a person, at least to some extent ☺️I pray the Lord’s continued favour on this project and above all that His purpose, that men will come to him and accept salvation.
That's a problem. It's called the sin of idolatry. You're admitting to idolizing Roumie and disobeying the 2nd Commandment by making a graven image of Jesus.

Careful of the commandment to not do idolatry. I just got a reality check on that commandment with something I enjoy and now trying to avoid it (nothing harmful, was good fun tho the fun' been dying the past few years, so not too hard to giving it up).
I don't use Hallow, but I've a playlist of chaplets I go to sleep with, one being done by a Father with a very beautiful voice. I also have a playlist from the YT of the Chosen episodes, so will wake up sometimes hearing Quintos, Jesus,etc. I noticed recently with a prayer I say which is the prayer you hear Jesus saying in the 3rd episode, a line within speaks ..."let my sleep be undisturbed by troubling thoughts, bad dreams, and wicked schemes". Since saying this prayer at night, I do sleep better and there' no bad or troubled anything. I appreciate it on the fact that since a child a re-occurring dream I've had of being left by loved ones wherever I am in the dream has stopped almost. That makes it worth this prayer.

Interesting , interview . I wonder if other Jesus Christ actors were persecuted during a acting interview such as mel Gibson's movie Jesus Christ and . The actor who played Jesus of Nazareth . Can you recall history of interview s on them in comparison to your interview . That should be something to talk about as well . For how they were chosen to play part and what made them act in that position as Jesus Christ and voice dialect . And such . If they went through same types of interview. Such as Jonathan s interview !!! As I don't remember of any such thing on television . Or on radio station either. But very interested in knowing as iam sure other fans are interested as well. 2022. . Maybe for your next interview with Jonathan you can let your audience know about that. Shahar had always sounds Hispanic to me. When I first saw Shahar on screen, I thought it was the actor Oscar Isaac playing the part. He played Joseph in the “The Nativity Story”. I know Oscar is actually Hispanic. He changed his name so he wouldn’t be confined to playing Hispanic characters. So I thought Shahar might be related to him and did the same thing.
He definitely has the Greek/Hebrew features that Aramaics are said to have had. Modern depictions sometimes go too far to depict a "Middle Eastern" or "Arabic" Jesus, when Biblically Jesus is described as somewhat fair. Joseph is alluted to being partly Greek if you're among those who don't believe in the conception and are in the "Historical Jesus" crowd. So the more Caucasian depictions of old are too far off either.
Really surprised and disappointed that Rick would promote this show. Dallas believes Christians, Mormons , Catholics are all brothers. So, seeing how Mormons believe Jesus and satan are brothers, and Catholics believe in faith by works, what do you think Paul (or Jesus for that matter) would say to Christians hooking up with Dallas? I also understand that in one of the last episodes Dallas had Jesus's character quote a verse from the Mormon's "bible". What do you say to that? The Chosen; American "Christianity" at it's finest.....
What verse was it? You know there are some Catholics who are saved and love Jesus. All people who call themselves Catholics don't exalt Mary or even the pope for that matter. Same for some Mormons. Jesus will usher them out of their religions at some point because they believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are entering a time in these last days (in part due to persecution that is coming) where God is getting ready to tear down the walls of religion where nothing is going to matter but Jesus Christ is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life and that no man comes to the Father but through him. ... But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 KJV

It's been several years since this aired so I'm hoping you were able to research what the skull ring means. Look up MOMENTO MORI. From Dust to Dust in scripture.
This is not at all to bash those who are in the Roman Catholic Church. I find this sad that Jonathan is a Roman Catholic who pushes in interviews the Roman Catholic faith which is a false religion. They teach a faith/works based salvation. They teach purgatory which says that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross didn’t pay for all of our sins; that we still have to do that after death. The Roman Catholic Church as an organized religion still hold to The Council of Trent which states: Session 6 Cannon 9 “If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema.” Session 6 Cannon 11 “If any one saith, that men are justified, either by the sole imputation of the justice of Christ, or by the sole remission of sins, to the exclusion of the grace and the charity which is poured forth in their hearts by the Holy Ghost, and is inherent in them; or even that the grace, whereby we are justified, is only the favour of God; let him be anathema.” As long as this is their “gospel” how can we ever be United with them?
Given it up. You're not making Jesus happy when you express such a narrow and bigoted attitude. Your needle's eye is getting smaller and smaller. BTW the bible you're using was amassed and consolidated by the "Roman Catholic" Church so there's that component. 😊
