Flatland is such a mind-blowing vein of BMX. The different disciplines are all amazing in their own ways, but something about flatland is so magical to watch, and the scene seems to be filled with some really down to earth people.

@weegaz22
@weegaz22 3 года назад
It's probably the "easier" form of BMX with regards to abuse/impact on your body, you're bikes constantly on flat ground so if you do fall you probably aren't falling very fast or hard unlike park riding where there can be a whole lot of speed and drops from heights involved with the bonus of possibly getting tangled up in the frame when you crash...i liken flatland to the equivalent of freestyle skateboarding, its still impressive as hell, but a less risky form of the sport.

Hey Scotty love the video. It brought back great memories of when I used to do all those tricks in the video. I started BMX racing in 1984 then in the late 80s early 90s was doing freestyle and in this video the only trick I didn't see and was hoping to see is a trick called the "cricket" unfortunately I can't ride BMX anymore. I was diagnosed with ALS Lou Gehrig's disease 15 years ago so I can try talkin you through it but a video would be better only thing is I have to walk you thur it without being on the bike and unfortunately I don't have a bike to show you how to do the "cricket" It's so weird and so close that this has been going on in York PA I never heard about it. I live less than 30 minutes from York in Lancaster County PA. So yeah it was a cool late 80's early 90's trick we did. If you want to know more about it hit me up anytime. It is a super fun and a crowd-pleaser of a trick to do. I know you guys would love to perform this trick. You all make sure you have yourselves a wonderful day today and everyday talk to you later bye
