Holy Mackerel the plumbing and filtration system that keeps this aquarium's water crystal clear is one of the most complex and elaborate designs I've ever seen. Only an engineer would insist on this level of sophistication haha. The beauty of the system is all that complexity is hidden from sight, to complement the uncluttered minimalist interior decor of the tank. Brilliant setup, sir.
Hi Chat.. I really like the deep dimension. It gives you so much more playroom for scaping! I really like the scape. I have a pleco in with Humphrey.. I didn't realize it till today! He must have been hiding when I moved my Geos. Everything looks great on the 300... love that tank!!🍁😁💧💗
Simply amazing bud. Thx for Sharing. One day perhaps I will get a huge tank as well. Going to need some tips on the sump. Seems like you have it figured out. 🖖
COOPER'S CICHILDS Hey Cooper thanks for stopping by aquarium has finally about done I just need to add some more fish to it thanks for watching buddy have a great night
lol somebody is hungry. I wish my redfin picherel would do that . He probably will when he get used to his new environment . You've got a really nice tank .
That fish is beautiful 😍 those colors are insane. Its gotta be a cichlid with those goergous colors right? I love the tank man i got a 75 and ive always dreamed of building a massive plywood tank but im sure you know how expensive that thick tempered glass is
Great tank thanks for the video. You may want to consider reducing the flow on the water through the UV sterilizer - it doesn’t work well with high flow, you need stand time. There’s a book (I can recall) that tells you how to calculate the flow rate/stand time. You could Tee of the return with a valve to slow down the flow through the UV and just have the UV return go back to the sump. Also, I know someone commented above, but did you consider painting the back of the tank? I used rubberized paint. It will look great.... just my $0.02!
I didn’t have much luck with those types of heaters. After a few months, they couldn’t hold the temp I set them to. When are you going to add more fish?
Vito Casola No sir it’s in my basement and it’s sitting on concrete it took for guys to move this aquarium downstairs the railing you see behind the aquarium I had to take that off empty it weighs 450 pounds with sand rock water weighs about 3000 pounds
Vito Casola yes Because it’s like parking a car on your floor you would have to use pole jacks in your basement to support your floor Joyce’s or they will start blowing in your floor will become very bouncy or if you have a house with a crawlspace you will have to use concrete blocksAnd four by fours to support your floor Joyce’s but I would not recommend putting it on a second floor I can be very rough on your flooring
Vito Casola with these big aquariums they have to be level if they are off level they will blow a panel out and you will have up to 300 gallons of water going through your house so make sure it is level that’s the key with these big tanks
Is good I have made one similar size glass 19 milímetros question is sand bed how deep is has to be my one because is concrete base my calculations is 6 inches what you thing good big rocks and soutamerican fish let me know please thanks
diego h perez 6 inches is pretty deep you’ll have to gravel vac if it was mine I would do about 2 inches you really don’t need any sand but a little would look nice the fish really don’t mindThanks for watching
FatBoySins I’m sorry about the animal cruelty (I’m not joking about hamster cage tho. Store bought ones are way to small. They need at a bare minimum 450 sq in. I prefer 600 though)
Nevaehs Pets I don’t have any fish tanks but the original poster said that the full set up was about 2000 so I guessed it was around 1500 for just the tank + I’m looking into getting a tank around that size for my day geckos
Flavio Design Aquairums Do you have the same wave makers I have two other wave makers same brand three years old and still working greatThanks for watching buddy
@@fishdad1chadh227 I still have & use the smartwave controller. I've went thru 10 of the smaller size pumps( model 420& 3??). Some of witch only lasted a week or two. I now use my 20+ year old Haggen aquaclear 802 / 70 powerheads.
I used to have African cichlids I have moved on to bigger fish South American cichlids l have 8 in there that will get 10 inches or biggerThanks for coming by and watching
