I really liked Richard, he should’ve been in more scenes

As funny as he is, I actually feel bad for Richard. I've met a few 'Richards' at uni so far, always try and make sure they're alright. Some people just find social interactions stressful.

I used to think that when I first watched the film 'what is the significance of Richard?'. However, I have the film on dvd and have watched it 3 times, and now I think that whoever came up with Richard's character, AND the guy who plays him deserve medals! lol, he's my favourite of all the new characters introduced in the film. :)

I remember being in Ibiza and these 'Richards' are quite real, young lad who's gone out there with little planning, possibly hoping to get work out there, just to end up potless and missing their passport.

there's more Richard in the UNCUT/EXTENDED dvd version. definitely worth rewatching :) adds a few extra lines here and there!

Whenever I have been away on holiday either with 'the lads' or the other half, there has always been a Richard type character....out there on their own and a bit weird, but ultimately harmless.

Was thinking of going on holiday on my own but I don't think I can pull it off quite like Richard can.

I watch it everyday - I have it on my laptop, but try as I might I still can't warm to Richard! I'm not saying it was poorly acted or anything - it's just the character - I still stick by what I said, and wish they'd kept the Mr Gilbert scene in the bar in because for the simple reason is it renders the end shots when he drives passed on a quad bike a bit pointless.

I like really like the character Neil. An absolute idiot but he is actually a really nice lad. Just in this clip here ment to be having a party. And when Richard asked to come qnd say hello to his parents he didn't think twice. We all need friends like Neil. But unfortunately we all have friends like Richard lol.

Imagine being flown out to Spain (pretty sure that’s actually where it was shot) as an actor for 90 seconds of screen time 😂 What a lucky guy

His performance in the film is nothing short of astounding. The nuanced portrayal of the complex character is a masterclass in acting. He captures the character's inner turmoil with such subtlety and grace that it is almost as if we are privy to his thoughts. His physical performance is also exemplary, as he conveys the Richards physical and emotional pain with such realism that it is almost unbearable to watch.😊

Actors like this are probably rejected main cast members from the original series, he’d have made a good Neil or Jay.

I feel bad for Richard honestly AND I'M AUTISTIC! But hey least I can survive going on holiday alone without my parent's having to come get me.

Simple and clear. :) lol, We All have different tastes I suppose, but I think that without Richard, the film would have seriously lacked the awkwardness of the original series. I love the way he just drifts in and out, with no explanation of who he is or where he came from, but he steals all his scenes! lol, if they make a sequel, I hope Richard is in it, maybe they can show more of his character?
