Thank you Now maybe once everybody realizes that butter is the new word for Brandon Boyd they’ll realize that it’s a bait and switch passenger game of pass and G Her I am tired of being a slave for this dirty television show and the evil fucking people that think they can own slaves butter Boyd Pizza pizza pie And there ain’t nothing in the fridge raider except a cold stick of butter! That’s why it’s system of a down It all represents slavery and dirty sex scandals in Hollywood
I love her relationship with everybody. I really loved when Howard and her enjoyed the same music, I found that relationship so cute. Also love love love her friendship with Penny even though at times she was obsessive.
The tiara bit is good, but “Everybody Hurts” is comedy genius. Writing is the thing, but it doesn’t get out there without this level of performance. They are all tremendous actors. My favourite show, and I’m old.
When they started, she was just a female copy of Sheldon. But thanks to the vision of the writers and of the actress, Amy developed into a quirky, funny, empathic (and slightly lesbian)m character that I love. She became my favourite in TBBT.❤
I always considered Amy to be bisexual, and not disguising it in any way. She ended up in a relationship with Sheldon due to her love for him, but would have happily had a sexual relationship with Penny. It's sort of an LGBTQ erasure, that she was considered "quirky" rather than bi.
No, she is not bi. She didn't have any friends and was socially awkward. Penny portrays what she wanted to be back in high-school or in general lookwiss. She is Basking in Penny's Beauty and Coolness. Later on she gets over it.
Mayim Bialik is in real life an actual PHD neuroscientist. Plus she knows how to play the piano, guitar, and trumpet. If I am not mistaken she started out on the set as a science consultant. She is actually very smart in real life! But truly some of the best comedy acting we have seen in a long time and I am a big fan of Carrol Barnett and Lucille Ball so i have seen a bunch of comedy in my day! I think one of her best skills was switching demeanor on a dime and the Tiara scene exemplified that!
Untrue about her being the science consultant. She auditioned for the part of Amy, which was originally a one-off appearance. It was such a hit that they brought Amy back as a recurring character the following season, and ultimately Mayim became a regular cast member. She was occasionally asked about science questions on set, particularly when it involved the biological fields, but they had a regular physicist, a prof at one of the SoCal universities, who consulted on the science. Fun fact: Mayim returned to acting because when she finished her PhD, she lost her student health insurance, on which her family depended. So she decided to reactivate her Screen Actors Guild membership for the insurance. Which meant she had to work. She did a number of guest appearances on various shows, and TBBT was just another one. In fact, she and her ex-husband didn’t own a TV, so she’d never seen TBBT and didn’t know who Sheldon was, or what the show was about. She had to find out fast, before the audition.
@@Historian212 just a correction. Mayim was never made reoccurring character and then permanent. Season 3 she had one off appearance and then season 4, they were made regular and signed the contract.
After meeting Penny and Bernadette, Amy really started becoming less and less of an immature obnoxious weirdo, and I think that’s mainly because Penny and Bernadette were the first people not to treat her like one.
@@ginao6810 Yea very true. From personal experience, I have asperger's and social skills were hard for me. It's only when I finally made proper good friends my weirdness started fading away.
my favorite scene 1:00 Also I love the scene where Amy and Bernadatte go for drink and Bernadatte tosts: to science. And Amy says: and the sick and dying who make it possible. A golden line indeed.
I remember being put off by Amy the first time she appeared because she was so robotic even more robotic than Sheldon. But she quickly grew on me and she’s also the reason Sheldon got out of his shell.
Amy Farrah Fowler. The best woman character ever made. I'm really grateful with Mayim Bialik's performance as her. She and Sheldon are my favorite characters from the show. I admit I usually imagine Amy as my aunt. I admit I'm also considering also starting to imagine her as my godmother. In my opinion Sheldon and Amy are the 2 best fictional characters ever made
@@sreeharivenat8002 I did watch Amy Santiago. But I relate more to Amy Farrah Fowler than to Amy Santiago. I relate to Amy Farrah Fowler because I simply can
@@norahdelagarza775 She had her whole childhood to be "trained". She worked steadily until she went to college. There is no better training than "hands-on"."
sheldon was naturally awkward as well as amy whose mother didn't permit her to be who she wanted, so how would she be different? as amy met sheldon and penny she was able to bloom into the brilliant witty girl she ever was. love her! ❤
Honestly when she first joined she was just an insufferable female version of Sheldon. But she ended up being such an amazing addition to the show and I can’t imagine it without her. Mayim did such an incredible job and the fact she’s a neuroscientist irl makes it that much better ❤
Should have led with when Raj & Howard set up Sheldon with Amy via an online dating profile. They realized that they'd doomed mankind after the two hit it off.
It was so funny when they were looking for a fourth to be in that competition against Sheldon. Someone suggested “the actress who played Blossom”. This was before Mayim was on the show.
I have my gripes about this show, but being a sitcom it's expected that certain things come with the territory. That said, I can't express how much I enjoyed Amy's character. She really carried the series later on when they started to "flanderize" Sheldon by ignoring a lot of the personal growth he's made over the years for the sake of a woman joke or something else tasteless. The show definitely had a great set of characters that made me want to watch and episode everyday after work. The passion from the actors, paired with immense skill, gave us a great little sitcom that serves as perfect background noise or weekend bookmark to help entertain us.
And she wore that tiara when she was a bridesmaid at Bernadette and Howard's wedding, her own wedding and the day she received a nobel prize with Sheldon! Did I miss anything??
"Oh no, not at school. At home. Those kids just take drugs and have intercourse" *Penny holds glass up and Leonard fills her glass with alcohol. That was funny af 😅 I've never seen that episode lol "Are you seeing this Larry? These are the people I'm gunna have to live with after you're dead" 🤣
