Wow that was a beautiful story. Like the little match girl. Now I’m going to cry. I get that she’s a saint, but I’m still going to cry because people could be so cruel to a sick little girl. 😢🌹🌹🌹
I wish I could travel back in time and give little St. Germaine a big hug while she was on earth. It is both lovely, and comforting, to know that she now abides with all the Angels and Saints in heaven, forever in the presence of the blessed trinity. Vive Christo Rey.
@JMJ Rosary - thank you for sharing Acts 13:35 and Psalm 16:10 with me. I have learnt something 🙏 Psalm 16:10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
Oh my! What a gift of literature! What God delivers is beautiful. She is with Heaven's Mothers and saints of many. A love for God that is a breath away.
What a beautiful story!! I’ve been going through some struggles lately (nothing like those of poor little St. Germaine) that have tested the strength of my faith or made me wonder if God is hearing me and the life of this courageous, holy little girl has given me hope to trust in the Lord no matter what I’m going through. Thank you Father for reminding me that God is miraculous and always gives us signs, so that we may believe. St. Germaine Cousin, pray for us! (I will definitely be buying that book!! Do you think you could do at least one more video on another saint from the book, since this one was so amazing? Just asking!! Their stories are incredible!!)
To answer Mary Salmands question, there are many Eastern Orthodox saints that are in corrupt. Two are here in the US, Saint Seraphim Rose of Platina, Ca. and St. John Maximovich of Shanghai and San Francisco.
Thank You FrMark for sharing about this book. I've seen u tube videos of incorruptibles.. What other Church has incorruptible Saints? None! We are the Original First Church traced back to Jesus and the disciples. Amen🙏📿😇
"That's not normal." Said so deadpan, that my kids and I repeat this phrase often over things; Laughing the whole time! I LOVE ST. GERMAINE. I have a withered right hand like her and pray everyday to her now📿👋🙏.
The 20-Decade Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary can help avert war, and Praying it 3x a day extends the protection to others. If a hundred people do it, they can save their nation
Holy Smokes Fr Mark That just amazing. You Fr have inspired me to attend daily mass. I love hearing about all these true stories. It gives me hope that one day we will all be with the King
The story of St Germaine Cousin is published by Our Lady's Tears Productions under the title of: GERMAINE: REQUIEM OF A SOUL/The True Story of Cinderella. This book is now being made into a movie: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VewQ5c3cXDU.html&feature=emb_logo
Thank you Fr. Goring for encouraging people to do spiritual reading, particularly from a reliable Catholic publishing company. St. Germaine teaches us the folly of a life of luxury for those who have their sights on heaven (and who wants to go to Hell--the default alternative?). St. Germaine was an outcast of society, like the aborted babies-- unwanted, unloved. I will start praying to her to help end abortion and to keep mothers from sending their babies to day care. Poverty is better than day care.
Aborted babies never had the chance to strive for heaven. So sad they didn't have the luxury to choose for themselves. Aborted babies suffer death like no other... no choice!
So much to look forward to. An eternity of bliss with our Loving God and the communion of Saints. So amazing!! Thank you🙏🏻🕊 Heaven can be lived already now through our union with our Eucharistic Jesus.💛Heaven is in the heart.
Thank you for sharing this, Fr. Goring. We are so very blessed as Catholics to have the wonderful heritage and example of amazing saints such as St Germaine.
We are one one with Heaven. With Comuniti of the Saints. We have our job here and we must fnish it. Serve to Jesus, stay close to our Lady and we are going home to our Father, to celebrate with Heaven. Viva Christo Rey
I wish you could read aloud to us more often, Fr. Mark. Your voice is very calming, and so faith filled! Listening to you, I feel almost transfixed, listening to one our Church Fathers, while the Holy Trinity and Blessed Mother are listening...while sitting around us. I think you’ve found an additional vocation, because your voice is so wonderful that you could be a Professional Narrator. Amen ➕👼🏻
Glory and praise Lord! Ok I am not the only recent fan of this little known saint ( at least in the US). Read about her in Magnificat, what a witness of suffering. Thank you Fr. Goring!
I'm just viewing this now. Thank you for sharing the stories of all the little know Saints. I was born Catholic and have never heard of some of them. God Bless.
My bishop in SC used to forbid people from reading TAN books. Hahahahah. He is long ago become corrupted in the grave. Unfortunately he was one of the bad bishops much like the ones we have today every day in the news. Love your videos, and yes I do pray for this evil bishops soul he needs our prayers like so many today do. Jim in Chile.
She is the real Cinderella. Obviously the stepmother and cruel sisters, church bells, the magic of crossing flooded river, flowers in mid of winter, and the happy ending to be with the prince, Jesus.
Thank you Fr.Mark, the humility of these saints and their love of God,you can't help having compassion for them, and yet, yearn to have what they have obtained thru such challenges and trials. God is faithful to those who humble themselves and love others in spite of such disregard and rejection. We have the Saints and the miracles to draw on in these ,most trying times.Thank you.
Please help us father, our souls and those of our children are being led over the Abyss. What is wrong with Pope Francis. I feel very terrified by this pope. May God and his Blessed Mother help our families at this time. God Bless and protect you always Father.
Thank you for this story, Father Mark. Heartbreaking. Saint Germain Cousin is the patron saint of the victims of child abuse. A saint for our times, in which the faithful have been afflicted with clerical sexual abuse.
Wow ! Thank you Father Mark I'm going to buy that book ! What a sad but wonderful testament of how Our Lord truly does live by what he said "suffer little children to come unto me , for theirs is the kingdom of heaven " Praise the Lord 🙏🏼📿💙
Man of God, thank you for sharing the wealth of history regarding our beloved saints who have gone on before. God bless you. This is a marvelous work you are doing. You are choosen to reach your generation.God bless you.🙏
May God reward you for this video, Father. Would you mind sharing a link to the place you purchased your Bible? I've been wondering which one it is and would like the same one!
I have been wanting to learn more about what the Church teaches about incorruptible saints. Are all saints bodies incorrupt? What happens to people who are cremated? Can you share more about what the Church tells us about this please, Fr. Mark?
I believe you Father, but what does it mean that they will come out of the tumbs? Does it mean that their spirits in heaven will reunite with their bodies? .....¿and we'll all be again with our loved ones to teach and make the Earth a Paradise before we return it to God? Am I correct? I love your channel.
There are Eastern Orthodox saints that are inncorupt, 2 in the US, RT.Seraohim Rose of Platina, Ca. and St. John Maximovich of Shanghai and San Francisco.
Hey Fr. Mark! I wanted to say thank you for continuing to make your wonderful videos - watching them occaisionally is helping me in my formation here in Guatemala. I wanted to let you and our brothers know that I am doing well, being sanctified through community life, and continuing to bring Jesus in my service to the poorest of the poor as a Missionary of Charity. I pray for y'all everyday! Don't forget to smile :)
She was such a beautiful child filled with love and affection. I can't comprehend why she was rejected, unloved,, and discarded at such a young age. Especially from her own father! Really shocking! Fr. Mark, this just proves that the saints were just like us.......human and filled with struggles. Thank you so much, Fr. Mark, for bringing this book, "The Incorruptibles" to our attention! God love you! Now I need to read more stories of the saints! I am ordering this book! St. Germaine Cousin, pray for us.🙏❤🙏❤🙏 VIVA CRISTO REY!
Since her cause of death was supposedly illness related to malnutrition, why didn't all these villagers who made all these observations about her, offer her food that they knew she was not getting from her cruel family. And why did not someone especially the Church offer to adopt her when she was still a child and thrown out in the cold barn?
I don't think they had a State Child Protective Service agency in the 1600s in France. In modern times, the government has taken authority upon itself through CPS to remove children from homes. First right of custody of the child is to the parents. CPS is supposed to recognize that right, but sometimes (or often) they usurp the rights of parents unjustly. To counteract this tendency to overzealousness, lawmakers and the courts have insisted on policies to reunite children with their parents, offering a great deal of assistance to troubled parents in order to achieve this goal. Many well-meaning people disagree with that policy, but it is the Natural Law -- God gives rights to parents. The State only has the right to intervene if the child is endangered. It's difficult to find the documents from the 1600s describing the assistance the villagers and priests and religious brothers and sisters gave to St. Germaine, but maybe they didn't understand that she was malnourished -- maybe it was common for poor children to be malnourished, or maybe nobody had access to sufficient nutrition and therefore couldn't spare much. Maybe someone did offer to take her in but her father refused. It's just not possible to know without having access to documents.
That was utterly beautiful! I also always pull that topic with non-believers and they remain silent. Is it too much to assume that those who've been cremated will also receive their glorious bodies?
Read "Hope to Die" by Dr Scott Hahn. Of course we will reunite with our bodies cremated or not. But creamated I wont do now after reading his lovely eye opening book!
Oh my goodness this is so informative. I always wondered about incorruptibles. “God gives us signs so that you may believe.”Thank you again Father. June 21, 2022
I just read about St. Germaine Cousin for the first time in the Lives of the Saints at had the extraordinary experience of falling in love with this saint at once. Immediately bought a metal of her for my rosary. St. Germaine Cousin, pray for us who carry wounds of rejection!
