@320 Sim Pilot - one of my fondest memories as a kid was going to Farnborough and seeing the Vulcan go vertical over the runway after a low pass. Every car alarm in the car park went off! Something I’ll never forget! Incredible machine. Thanks for the video 👍
Just brilliant! I remember seeing it perform at a seaside air show and the same thing happened, all the alarms going. I drove a long way to see it as it was its final display year!
Disappointed to see the preface to the video, “not for any real world use.” Like many viewers, i had expected to view this and be proficient in piloting a nuclear weapons delivery platform … 🙂
Without a doubt the most beautiful of bombers. When I gaze upon it with the landing gear extended, I find I’m always thinking of Concorde. It’s quite frankly the same sensation as contemplating a long lost love, or loves.
The Vulcan is a plane from my childhood, having been brought up on V-Bomber bases. Seeing this model, set against the grey cloudy British sky, actually triggers a nostalgic feeling for those days. What can you say about Just Flight that hasn't been said already - in my book, they are firmly amongst the absolute top tier of developers for MSFS. Great video - I really like this channel.
What a superb representation of this iconic aircraft! Having seem various Vulcans flying over the years, it's great to see such a highly detailed model. I also had the pleasure of once again getting up close to one of these last June and being able to walk underneath that massive wing - the last time I did that would have been in the '70's at one of RAF St.Mawgan's airshows in Cornwall!
They even chose the XM607. That was the bombing airplane in operation Black Buck 1. This was the airplane that bombed Port Stanley Airport May 1'st 1982. The most amazing bombing operation since the Dam Busters.
Great video and wonderful aircraft. I live near Scotland's museum of flight at East Fortune where they have Vulcan XM597 on display. This aircraft was Black buck 5.
The WE-177 was a free-fall gravity bomb. The yield was different depending on which variant was carried with the B having the largest yield. The weapons were fully retired in 1998.
great as a avid vulcan van and following xh558 to most airshows up until she was retired i cannot wait to get into this the xp11 version was also fantastic another one i have been waiting for all we need now is the fslabs concorde in msfs and the pmdg 744 great video as always be glad to get the vulcan howl with the other engine variant on release.
This looks absolutely fantastic. I fondly remember watching XH558 displaying at Waddington a year or so before her final flight. The howl is unmistakable, truly a marvel of British aerospace engineering when we led the world, even beating the Americans in several areas. In a DCS guy, but I’m very tempted to reinstall and purchase this module. Now if only somebody would make a Gloster Javelin sim… a guy can dream right?
Another excellent video! I love the Tin Triangle - I first saw it at an airshow in Coventry, way way back... such an iconic aircraft with so many stories. JustFlight have done a really superb job of recreating it in all it's authentic complexity! Thanks for continually excellent channel!
I saw XV558 at Baginton too. I took a photo which, when I zoomed in, shows a skylark just off the nose, apparently in danger of being ingested by those engines! I also clearly remember a Vulcan flying low over my school (Binley Park, in Coventry) in 1981. The deputy head exclaimed 'Good Lord, what is that?' I told him it was a Concord and he believed me!
If you can get hold of a copy of "The Vulcan Story" by Tim McLelland, there is an entire section in which David Thomas of the VDF back in the 90s describes flying a display - that was one of his first points!
@@deano50z in my over-enthusiasm about the video, I starting writing as soon as it starting playing. I've edited my comment to make myself appear slightly less gormless. 🤣
One of the coolest planes to ever exist. Waiting for the A220 to come out so I can relive the howl. 😀 I live just under the final approach where quite many 220's operate and the howl is so funny.
Some Vulcans had a twin pointer ASI on the 1st pilot (Captain) side and a single pointer on the 2nd pilot side, not sure why though! Martyn - Just Flight
Hi Captain is there any indication of when the live streams might return to the channel? Im guessing as a long haul pilot the previous cadence of streams would be impossible as you’re away too often but I think we’re all missing your streams and looking forward to their return!
Thanks so much for the comment. I’d love to get the streams back up and running. You’ve summed it up perfectly, I am trying to find a new pattern to setting up and organising a stream. It’s going to require a bit more planning in advance but should of course be possible! I’ll try and get organised with it and get them going again!
There are videos of this on the Just Flight RU-vid channel, posted today. View those and you'll be able to make up your own mind but in short the answer is very much YES.
I don't know, I'm not a fan of the Vulcan's looks at all. It looks really awkward and goofy to me. But I also think the EA-6 is gorgeous. So it's probably just me. Awesome place and excellent model either way.
The video is not intended for real world use??? What the hell am I going to do with the Vulcan on my driveway then? I'll never get it flying at this rate
I want this plane so badly but im gonna have to wait for it to go on sale my girl and kids come first and I've only spent this months sim money budget 😂 grest video this is taking care of my itch for the meantime. Keep it up!
