Instagram- AdamTheWooATW I cannot express enough how amazing the last few shows and hours was. The cast members should all be praised and commended for going above and beyond. The closing of Splash Mountain in its final hours really showcased the die hards that came out to support but this might even have topped that. Truly a night I’ll never forget
This is a great tribute. My best friends father in law was Al Bertino, imagineer and the person Big Al was named after. So glad they are recreating and not gutting this classic.
It's very interesting how less popular rides explode in popularity when it's announced they're being changed or closed. It's bittersweet in a way. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.
Disney vloggers need to get together and have a "Muppetvision 3D" Day to help boost that ride. Sept. 24th is his birthday, but that's a while away. The original ride opened on May 16th, but the DCA version opened Feburary 8th, 2001. That would probably be the best date to do it. That's just 12 days away.
Great work documenting this, Adam! Thank you for sharing the fans with their various Country Bear merchandise. Great to see what people have found over the years.
Lines like “all the guys who turn me on turn me down” and “soon as I find a ladder I’ll be right up” inspired so much genuine and unexpected laughter from people. Sucks that Disney is taking something so unique and turning it into yet another place to hear Aladdin and Little Mermaid songs. If I had to guess, this might follow the path of the Tiki Room and be changed back after people get tired of the new version.
The emotion that pours out on the closing of an attraction is so heartfelt. It has been decades since I had seen this show. I just want to say that sometimes keeping a classic is better than moving on. I know that Disney himself said that there would be changes, and in part I agree. But this show is one that should be kept as is. I mean each time you went in, everyone was singing along! Thanks for preserving this moment. I cried, can’t lie. Some things are better untouched or removed.
Adam, thank you for this. This show will be missed. Cast members like that really make the day special. What ever they are paying her, it is not enough!!
Thank you for this Adam. It was great to see everyone singing and enjoying the fun songs in this attraction. I will truly miss this from my childhood trips to Disney with my mom who loved the Country Bears, especially Big Al. Best EVER coverage!!
My mom is devastated and crushed over it being changed. It's her absolute favourite Disney attraction. Yes, we use a U in favourite here in Canada. 🇨🇦🐻
Thanks for sharing these finals moments of a classic attraction, Adam. I remember watching this show as a kid in the early 90s and the songs went way over my head. It was great seeing this show over the years and sharing that with my kids. It will be great to see the new show when it re-opens but will miss these corky songs.
I watched this in the mid 70's with my little brother ,it was in critter country, Disneyland California, so much fun . I lost him in 82 , he was 13. Places like this help us enjoy the time of the ones we go with , I am so glad I went on that day ! Blessed that I still remember it and him .😊
Thanks so much Adam for filming the last day . I love the Country Bears the way they were. I’m so sorry to see them changing it. Your video made me laugh seeing everyone singing along with the bears. Thanks so much for the time you put into this video. I really enjoyed it.
Between Splash Mountain and an original Country Bears, Japan might now have a more authentic Disney experience than the United States. Good on Japan for respecting tradition and not randomly canceling the things people love.
Last month when we went to see the country bears we were one of 20 people , great to see the crowds …I have not seen these crowds for the country bears in a long time
I wish I could have been here for this! I totally would have loved spending the last day with those bears. I know it’s coming back in some form, but those songs and the whole cast of characters involved made it a favorite for me since childhood. Thank you for letting us experience it with you and your friends.
Progress? No, destroy their own history brand is not progress, it's idiocity who won't pay them revenue at all, their new brands do not sell like their classic stuff
Lighten up, George. You can love, like, dislike or hate whatever you want. This show will change, as everything in life changes. Learn to deal with it, mang….
Adam I have been a Fan of yours for a long time since the back to the future locations. I Have always enjoyed your videos but I gotta say this one is one of my favorites. I loved the country bear Jamboree me and my dad used to laugh every time we went. I can not believe it is gone. This video brought back those memories so I wanted to say thank you for the upload and the memories.
The cast members are just phenomenal! The cast members are huge stars! I hope basically its just a freshening up of the bears and music changes. I hope as well the Bears will still have the same vibe they have had for all these years. Great to see the love and enthusiasm for the Bears!
You know, when I was a kid I really couldn’t (and didn’t) appreciate the artistry and beauty of this show. Years later, I grew to love it and the magic of the Imagineers, programmers, musicians and singers who performed via the Animatronics and those who maintained the integrity of this wondrous cavalcade of Bear talent. God bless the Country Bears. See ya’ REAL SOON…
Great video!! Thanks for giving the Country Bear Jamboree its due!! Always been a fave and I missed it by less than two weeks ( will be there next week!). I will miss the original it holds such nostalgia for me!! Thanks again!!😊🤘🏻🐻
This video is amazing! Thank you so much for doing this for all of us who could not be there. I loved the Splash Mountain farewell and this is just as great. Thank you for sharing this evening with us.
I remember seeing the country Bear jamboree in the late 70s. I probably was 15 or 16. Had a real good run and it’s sad to see it go but at least it’s not going away forever. It’s gonna be fun to see what they come up with for the new shows. I’m glad you had a good time with Jacob and Mika and other friends, look like it would’ve been a fun time. ❤ We love you country Bears.
Adam thanks for taking the time show the last show of country bears. I wasn't fortunate to see this show. Thank you so much for caring to bring this show to final performance.
I love Disney World and haven't been there in quite a while. I appreciate you taking us along on your Disney visits, especially the last day for the Country Bear Jamboree! I also love when you see your friends and making new ones. 🙂
Thanks for chatting with me a little bit Friday while walking out of one of the showings! After watching for many years, was cool getting to speak with you! Your channel has inspired me to do a little YouTubing myself! I’m hopeful that one of two of the original songs will be in the new show…guess we will find out this summer!
Thanks for taking us along with you for the end of the Country Bears. I love seeing you hang out with Tom. You both have a similar vibe for respecting old school Disney while appreciating the new.
Funny story. Some days I have more work than other days, but I work seven days a week and watch Mr the Woo's videos during my breakfast (or lunch) break. I knew today I had a very easy day of work, I have some extra time and no plans, so I said to myself "I hope he posts a 50 minute video today". Just 21 seconds short of what I was hoping for today! Thank you, Mr the Woo!
thanks for documenting this, AdamTheWoo! I was sad that I didn't get to see it one last time. Was one of my favorite attractions. Those Disney CMs made it extra magical for sure! God Bless them! Will be interesting to see the new show, but I sure will miss the original.
Incredible Day and Night! Typical Crazy Final Day Of A Magic Kingdom Attraction! Thanks For The Video Adam! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 RIP Country Bears 🐻 Great Birthday Gift To Me 🎉🎉🎉
As a former cast member, Bear Band was a great place to work and a great show to watch the guests and their reactions. My grandchildren will miss one of Walt’s own visions.
Thank-you Adam, for mentioning the closing, well in advance. One of my favorite childhood memories, I visited on 1/8, got three sets of coins, before everything changes. 🙂
I was a “college programmer” in Frontierland around early 2002. Country Bears was my main spot I worked at as a cast member. Thank you so much for this. I wish I could have been there for this day. So many good memories there… including getting my feet run over regularly from people in electric scooters trying to park in front of the entrance. I also loved seeing Tom Corless in this video. And always enjoy Jacob and Micah, as well.
Thanks for this vlog. Have an amazing weekend. It is sad to have the original Country Bear Jamboree to hibernate. I’m hoping the new will be amazing, too. Cheers.
This was so much fun. I felt like I was watching Ground Hog Day.🤣🤣🤣 I wish you could have made it for the 12th time and wish they would have done the last show as scheduled. I'm sure a lot of people were disappointed. The crowds were great. Your singing was so good Adam. Good to see Jacob again. Thanks for sharing and brightening my day. ❤
@TheDailyWoo Great Video Adam!!! The first time I saw The Country Bear Jamboree was at Disneyland in 1975. I was 6 years old. That show has always been my favorite. I hope that if the revised show is a flop, Disney will bring back the original show. It was obvious in those last performances how much the audience loves The Country Bear Jamboree.
My sister and I used to perform this show to our family using the picture book 12" record back in the early 1970's. (Disneyland version) ((I'm 57, sis' 55)) It's great to see some massive love for an always more than half way full attraction. I am glad they are keeping the attraction and giving it an update instead of turning it into a Whinny the Pooh ride. Change is hard and bittersweet but without it we do not grow.
So glad I got to see it on the last day too. My family was in your video in the front row on your 5th or viewing. The one where your friend was waved up front.
Im glad you did it too, Adam! You have such a sentimental heart, thats a rear & special quality in a person. My eyes started watering when Big Al asked to have his picture taken with you. By the time the picture was taken my face was completely drenched in tears! What an honor for you!!! Thank you, Adam the Woo!!! 👍👍
I love the sky that night. Great video, one of the family favorite rides as a kid. Some rides my aunts, parents, siblings or friends wouldn't go to when I was young. However this attraction no matter who I went with, we all would go Everytime. I like the time lapse in this video, spending the entire day in Florida on such a lovely weather day was nice.
Great send off for the bears! Wish I could have been there to celebrate.. as sad as closures are, these events are always cool cause you get to hang with all the other fans… great coverage of the final moments!
Brings back so many memories. Grew up in San Diego and we used to duck into CBG to get out of the heat. Back in the days of ticket books, Haunted Mansion was a walk on cause people wanted to use their E tickets for Pirates and Matterhorn.
I just don't understand why Disney keeps getting rid of the classics. If its not broke dont fix it. Sad to see it go. Adam thanks for sharing this with us.
My strongest memory from my first trip to Disneyland in 1997 was my aunts obsession with the Country Bears. It was nice to know it was still happening in WDW after being gone so long from Disneyland. When I saw this video I thought for a second it was closing permanently. Glad it will be coming back in some form.
Adam I am so glad you and carpetbagger filmed this for the last day. As everyone else has said it’s the first show/ ride I can remember loving when I was a kid. By the way. 50 ain’t nothing. Be prepared for 60.
Hey Adam, thanks for covering the last day and having a great time! If the bears' closing date wasn't three weeks notice and the prices to get into MK weren't high I would have been there myself. Though I probably would have been caught in that big line with the bears' last shows getting cancelled! By the way, to answer that question you asked Tom about if Buford was a dog or a child, if you listen to the whole song by Homer & Jethro you get your answer. The answer is....neither! In Country Bear they only sang the first line, but the whole song has this line... "Buford brought home his report card Buford was proud as could be At last he had passed to the third grade And Buford is just *23*!" (Wasn't expecting him to be a 23-year old guy who just got to third grade, did you? Not gonna lie Adam, if I had been there yesterday and happened to overhear you ask Tom that question, I would have stepped in and sang the verse to you guys right there!)
