I don't know why people hated or snoozed on this movie, this movie is a masterpiece from Stan Lee himself and the M.C.U, because it tells us the origin story of the Incredible Hulk and how he lives while the government is hunting him down. All I gotta say is, this movie will forever be in my Heart ever since my dad brought me into it ☺❤
@@beanseason6515 The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier wanted Mark Ruffalo to lead the 2008 Hulk solo outing, but Marvel wanted Edward Norton because he was more famous.
I gotta admit edward Norton hulk was my favorite, when he changes on the bridge you can hear everything..when mark ruffalo changes its just quick and painless.. Plus the muscle and facial detail when hulk jumps down is just crazy, plus the bullets bouncing off prolly feels like getting hit with paintballs
@@spiritofvengeance666I felt like that too, Eric Banas Hulk felt like like it hurt but we werent able to see the sweat or the dirt on his body through the process like you can in 2008 or 2012 like with Mark and Ed Nortons because of thr cgi
To me this is the best incarnation of Hulk so far. General never understood or accepted that Hulk strength and true weakness is and has always been Betty safety.
What people don't understand about this scene is that they succeeded in reproducing the Super Soldier Serum. Blonksy's arrogance and pride weren't a result of the serum; those traits were already present before this. Even his madness and desire for the Hulk's power were already there. Just as Dr. Erskein said; "The serum was not ready, but more importantly....the MAN. The serum amplifies everything that is inside, so...good-becomes great. Bad-becomes worse."
@@wndrbomb It wouldn't be the same because Hulk broke all his bones with one kick but in Infinity War Thanos knocked him out with one blow and we saw that in Endgame he endured a few hits before having the hammer.
@@leonardovillanueva9086 yeah but he healed all his broken bones and i injuries within a day. And lets be honest, comic book movies are notorious for being inconsistent
Dudes roar would've shook Wakanda and the people fighting as well. He'd probably still lose to Thanos but he wouldn't back down for a rematch and would've tore the whole ship up before going down
@@adamstewart9052 We all know why they did it, Can't have Badass Men anymore in the FeMCU. That's why Thor got Fat and useless and Banner/Hulk became a Pussy.
Convection heat should have cooked her alive regardless of the hulk shielding her; it would have been a good opportunity for tragedy, since Banner would have been smart enough to understand that there are some dangers you can't just body-block no matter how strong you are.
The way Hulk started at Ross is like he's saying "Your so obsessed trying to catch me that you don't realize your putting your daughter's life in so much danger."
He was a SS here, right? if a 100+ tonner like Hulk kicked a SS, it'd be like how it is here - they'd be completely broken down, unable to defend themselves. I have a feeling MCU Captain America could fight Ruffalo-Hulk evenly for a bit, probably tank some hits. IDK why, I just feel like that's how little respect the MCU gives Hulk later on in the series.
@@hansolo631Yes, they inject him with a version of the Supersoldier serum, before this scene. It wasn't the proper formula they gave Captain America but he still got enhanced speed, strength and healing. That's why he survives getting his ass kicked by the Hulk here.
Fun fact: This is the closest thing we've got to Captain America vs The Hulk. The main reason why Emil got bodied in the fight is because of his pride, as seen with him confronting the Hulk and getting a foot to the face for his act.
I agree, this Hulk is so badass and he really *feels* powerful. I think that Mark Ruffalo started out fine, but they just turned him into a freaking joke of a character instead of having him play a nice balance of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. And I hate to bring this up, but it's pretty clear now as to why they did that with many of the main male Marvel characters, that is, replacing or downgrading them and all that nonsense.
@@chubbyninja89 I agree they did, but I think its more of a trope choice more than anything. "The funny fat guy" Trope. Except its the buff dude. If they had kept him as he was in the first Avengers, which was the closest to Ed Norton's story, I think the character would've been fine.
Bruce is trapped, surrounded by soldiers ready to capture him. Tear gas canisters break through the windows and begin to poison the area. Bruce looks one last time at Betty, who runs towards him in hope of help. But it's too late. The approaching storm rages, as if to signal that a God is about to awaken. Bruce transforms into the Hulk, full of rage. He roars. The hearts of those who witness all this are now filled with terror. Simply, one of the best scenes I could ever see in a movie like Hulk.
There were a lot of issues with the plot; the ending was a mindless CGI fest with no real sense of stakes, and the beginning was really freaking weird. A rare example of a film whose middle portion is the strongest part.
@quicksilvertongue3248 Uhhh... the stakes were a giant hulking creature rampaging through the city. Pretty scary tbh. And yet in She-Hulk, he gets treated like someone who's innocent and even shows that he was conscious and aware of his actions while hulking out, and that's somehow supposed to say he'll never do it again XD
@@jaquanpowell4605 How is Abomination even considered to be a sane person after proving that he was conscious and aware of his actions during his rampage?
@@j-dawg4774 that’s what I’m saying. There should be no way Bruce should be considered a hero in any sense of the word especially after Lagos and Harlem. Abomination should’ve never gotten parole no matter how much he changed.
@6:15 that's probably one of the best fights scenes.why cant we have more fights like these?the effects are also perfect, even better than what we have today
You kids REALLY don't know just how strong Thanos is. Get over it, even your precious savage hulk would have been decimated in IW/EG. You can stop hating on Professor Hulk now
And it's a different kind of fear for each one. Betty is confronting the truth of how deep she's in it (fear of her own desire), Blonsky is wondering if he really can handle this thing (fear of false pride), and Thunderbolt absolutely *knows* he can't handle this thing but has to try anyway (fear of cosmic futility). I think the dolly zoom is a little overplayed, but it's still a great moment.
This scene is the perfect example of why we should never answer the hate with the hate. Hulk is triggered by the soldiers, so he gets angry and starts chasing them and killing them. The soldiers make the situation worse by releasing the super soldier and the sound cannons which don't work against Hulk. It's only general's daughter which doesn't reply with anger but instead shows Banner love and compassion. That's how you tame a beast
Well, I think that Ruffalo started out fine, but they just turned the Hulk into a comedian of a character rather than giving him the respect he deserves as one of the strongest characters in the Marvel universe. But sadly, it's all too apparent why that sort of stuff was done. But I won't get into all that here.
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for Bruce Banner in this movie, but Marvel wanted Norton because he was more famous at the time.
people just dont realize the immense power and unlimited capabilities the hulk has. his skin is as strong as superman's, he heals, he can breathe underwater, he is impervious to the cold and void of space, his hand clap can destroy a building, theres so much more that the MCU just ignored, for the convenience of the story line with Thanos. As with Steppanwulf and Superman... Hulk is unbeatable.
Uhm...no his skin is nowhere near supermans, taking out soldiers and tanks are very different than flying through black holes and supes speed alone would turn the planet into chunks of garbage through space..also against steppenwolf he literally froze a blade and that killed amazons into iceckles 😂
Ome of the things I love about this fight scene is how well Blonsky does vs Hulk because of the serum but if that fight had gone on long enough then I honestly think Hulks frustration at missing him would get him angrier and be able to surpass him as we saw during the chase sequence and later on.
if only marvel agreed to Norton's idea of Bruce putting a gun to his mouth to kill himself but The Hulk just spits the bullet. goddamn! it would've been the greatest scene 🙌
This fight scene was insane even hulk had to fight blonsky when he had his super soilder powers i didn't actually think the super soilder serum would work after recoving injects i was like dammmn i knew that had to hurt before bruce got hit by the sonic beams i knew general ross didn't like him but c'mon hulk was protecting betty it would have though the more he tries to hurt him after almost nearly getting her killed before blocking her from the fires i knew hulk would say...i only protected betty your the real monster from trying kill me where you don't know me...he had the realize blonsky was the main villian not bruce in the end I'm glad he did.
@dilipaweeratunga well he was part super soldier at this point because he got the injections before this scene to give him some type of gamma radiation
Thanos without stones could handle real Hulk for a while, with the sole effect to make him angrier. And stronger to the point Hulk would eventually beat him. The boxing in the ship was the reality stone at work. Instead of transforming Hulk into a rabbit, he decided to play boxing. The same end for Capt Marvel or Wanda, in the MCU, Thanos with the 5 stones cannot be defeated. If he wanted to, he could have transformed all into apricots. But in the MSHEU, wahmen were supposed to shine at all cost, ruining 10 yea4s of fantastic movies. Nolan's Hulk was 1000 better than Ruffalo's. Period. This is Hulk. You shit your pants because he's unstoppable. Not a green disabled woke professor with glasses.
Yeah, that's sad but true. I think that the directors should've tried to have Ruffalo have a nice balance for being both Bruce Banner and the Hulk rather than what they turned him into. Because I really don't mind some one liners and otherwise funny moments here and there, but they took a character that's supposed to be one of the strongest characters in the marvel universe and change him into a comedy act.
@@jackvanpelt9812 I don't think Ruffalo didn't start out bad or anything, it's just all the stupid BS they did to him over time. Instead of being the strongest one there is, he just got to be another kinda strong guy.
Ik Blonsky good and all, but they gave him hella plot armor w this scene. Even when he was running for his life away from The Hulk. Honestly the speed, agility, and stamina is unmatched to where it ain’t fair. If it were accurate then him b4 he became abomination would’ve already been dead or too fucked up to get away b4 the kick scene
After Hulk transforms, he is useless in front of him. The angrier he is, the greater his power is, and it is absolute power.,The absolute power of Hulk after transformation
1) The fact the military ALWAYS used aggressive tactics instead of, I dunno, one guy to talk to him and expecting it to go better. 2) "By god he's doing it"... Doing what? lasting a couple extra seconds lol
That is the military for you. The only thing they know best how to do is to use violence and weaponry. Its always a race to see whose weapons are better. That is why they seek out people like Tony Stark or Justin Hammer (maybe not lol), because they are develop weapons. With the military, there is no such thing as negotiation or anything peaceful. Their methods are always akin to a hostile takeover.
Honestly, at a cursory glance of the comments, what everyone really fails to see is that banners infatuation with betty shined through and that the only reason hulk continued any part of this fight was because Betty was still "in danger" according to Banner. If Betty hadn't been there this whole scene wouldn't work.
