In 60 years since I first heard them I've never come across such a combination of musicality and poetry. The dragon, me, with golden toes and golden fire from by flaming nose, my cave was bright with sultry gems that paled the stars like diadems. Who has ever come up with such a fusion since?
Vladimir - 7 people? They used to say that if the people in the audience were more than the people on stage, you can call it a success! Sorry, from Yugoslavia where? I live in the very north-east of Italy, just 4 Kms from Slovenia actually...
One of their most mystical songs. Then, as now, I was really into sitar crossover. This is an amazing piece of live music. I can’t really see anybody now playing with the same level of musicianship. Love and Peace to everybody.
Great band, lovely people great memories of a never forgotten time Have followed them since their first album ASTONISHING TIMES All love to those who were there❤
I saw this ISB film on a double bill with the first Nick Drake doc at the American Cinematheque, Los Angeles, 1998. I was startled to discover (once I saw them perform) whose voice actually belonged to whom. I was convinced from the album photos that Robin's was Mike's, and vice versa!
Unfortunately not. Maybe in a vault somewhere but not publicly released. This version was recorded for the Be Glad for the Song Has No Ending film which is where I got it from. If you’re looking for live material from this era check out the Live at the Fillmore East ‘68 recording which has a CD release and is on streaming.
