Back in the late 1970's my father saw one of his albums in a record store and thought the choice of music looked interesting. He brought it home, we listened to it and were totally blown away. We never heard such an amazing sound. There is simply nobody like him ever. Complete mastery of his instrument, flawless technique, unparalleled musicianship. Just the greatest ever.

Mendez is a technical master, but his musical style is different, distinctly Mexican. Dokshutzer plays like a great violinist, in his use of vibrato and phrasing.

I remember this album back in the 1970's. A fellow trumpet-playing friend of mine had it and we'd listen to it. Days of the old record player.

I still remember the day I first heard Dokshizer's version of the Artunian Trumpet Concerto. The immense power and beauty he conjured from his horn was mind-boggling.

It's amazing to realize that the trumpet is such a versatile instrument. Can be played ,phrased in thousands of ways . So many great players with different 'style' and sounds ! It's all depending on your cup of tea. 🎺 The instrument of God

I was thinking about this ... just the mouthpiece makes a big difference in the sound. Then there's the weird wonderful world of mutes. And there's the player and all the different ways to play as in styles and the individual personality of the player.

Уникальный музыкант! Его инструмент поет удивительно, как живой человечаский голос! Он теплый, со старинным вибрато, со множеством оттенков! Живой голос! Таких больше нет, Тимофей Докшицер - такой - один-единственный гений игры на трубе!

Блестяще, бесподобно, виртуозно и в тоже время легко проникновенно до глубины души захватывает эта музыка... Вот какое чудо - труба в руках настоящего музыканта!
