This is the third of a three part upload of the excellent Episode 6 from the short running tv documentary series The Incredibly Strange Film Show HIGHEST QUALITY VERSION AVAILABLE ON RU-vid!
It's funny to hear Sam's response to the question "How happy are you with the final product, Evil Dead II?", in which he replies "It's OK" , considering that the film is now considered to be one of the most influential and highly regarded horror films of the 1980s.
Thanks for this 3 part interview. How much has this young man, come a long way. He was amazing directing The Evil Dead, at just 19 years old. So passionate, determined and dedicated. Sam took massive chances but his faith in himself, has been proven in his work. He was never afraid to get stuck in, get his hands dirty, appear as an extra and admit he enjoys learning from other film makers.
Not too long after this interview, he'd go on to direct Darkman (which was originally going to be the first movie iteration of 'The Shadow' if I recall) followed by Army of Darkness.
