Perfect draft year to find a diamond in the rough from a small school.

Enrique seems interesting. Someone that went from a walk-on to getting a contract in the NBA. You know he's going to be working on his game in order to stay in the league. Look at the positive side. Rick Carlisle loves to play those later round picks over his early round picks.

As a fellow Aussie i love the Johnny Furphy pick, he won’t disappoint. Plus he’s got some intriguing size.

Pacers got the best coach / front office in the league

Rick Carlisle is an overrated coach. He lost several games in the playoffs because of his coaching.

Front office has been drafting well so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Newton was drafted to be TJs replacement. They needed to grab a center in case Myles doesnt extend next summer but they must be confident they will and there wasnt a replacement level center considering where they picked.

Watched Freeman play a lot, he’s legit. Solid rotation guy for years to come. Go Zips!

Freeman is Jarrett Allen with an improving jumper...he's a defensive anchor great rebounder has post game but just a lil undersized

I think Newton is a Nembhard replacement when they package him for another all-star caliber player.

Rudy Fernandez is a good comp for Furphy. Seems to be a good fit with the uptempo offense.

I believe furphy will be playing a year from now. We need his size at 3 position. 6 ft 9 solid shooter athletic. If he's really a first round guy he shouldn't have to develop for years.

Problem with these 19 year old kids is judging which ones love basketball and which ones are in it for the payday and lifestyle. Furphy and Walker both fit that bill imo. It's why I can't get hyped for kids. Very few Ants and Mathurins out there.

I'd rather had Klintman, or Jaylen Wells. Keshad Johnson and Jamal Shead as a PG. Guy's that had real Defensive upside who can do many other thing's. Furphy can shoot, but far off and Idk if he will ever make it defensively. Wells would have needed development time to get bigger, Klintman offensively.. So idk, it's whatever I guess. I'd still preferred Keshad Johnson and Shead. MIA picked him up and doesn't surprise me at all. They see those same guys defensively.. We never draft a true SF. Frustrating. Not prioritizing Defense is insane. Yet they go after Freeman when already having a Jackson. Another undersized C, have Pascal at 43+ mil and undersized Oscar. I understand what they're looking for. But we need variety too. Maybe Freeman is Jackson's replacement and he can develop better as a shooter and rebounder. I don't see him necessarily as a PF, but at least he's switchable on D. I don't hate the Freeman pick. Newton is alright too, but I recently went a different way in draft picks I'd rather had. Pacers seem to keep on drafting the same type of player's over and over.. and they aren't that great at drafting in the 2nd round. Nembhard is the only one they've hit on in forever.. Could have had GG Jackson and TJD here recently.. Idk what the hell they were thinking.. We had all the reason in the world to gamble on GG and I said it then too.. Now look at him, he had the size we needed at SF/SG also. You have 3 or 4 picks, use one. Despite if you might have thought he was a little immature. Whatever it was, dude was a talent.. and most great talents are a lil cocky or confident. I felt like saying if Klintman does well they'd regret it.. But he went tk DET, so he will never develop into anything there offensively. All they have is a bunch of dude's that can't shoot. Lol.. smdh. I swear, team's like to constantly draft the same player's.

To me, all these picks were incase they lose Obi Toppin and they're cheap azzes who don't want to go into the tax.. Or even use a mid level to get another guy over 5mil.. smdh. Could have not signed Pascal, had OG anyways had they waited most likely. Then signed Hartenstein, Obi back and used a minimum. Or just had our solid picks. Used 2 and traded the other's to make next year's draft even better.. Not a fan of what they've done. Could have traded for Caruso had theh tried this off-season.. Not being a team that likes ti go into the tax.. and overpaying a guy like Pascal imo.. Isn't a good move. They need to pray Mathurin has a huge breakout year. That we can hopefully keep Toppin. Then go into the next off-season, hopefully not being scared of going over the tax to more talent.. because if not, there was no point to anything they've done. Spending and losing on young talent to remain mediocre. They will have to prove they aren't afraid of going over the tax to keep me interested in this team now. Look at everyone else around us.. If they don't do it this year, they'd have to next year. I only feel they won't continue to do very much. If they're already so afraid this year.. doesn't look good if they don't imo.

The pacers aren’t gonna get lucky again and face teams decimated by injuries. I can’t wait til they face the bucks or the Knicks in the playoffs, and get the everloving shit kicked outta them. It’s gonna be hilarious 😆

This genius said 23 is a little old... 🤔😕 The average person who goes to a 4 year university will be 23-24 when they graduate. The expectation you guys put on these athletes is just as bad as making young women think they have to be a size 4 in order to be beautiful. It's ridiculous to suggest that 23 is old.

For an NBA rookie the oldest you can be is like 24 my guy and when you consider most NBA prospects are 18-21 year old "One and done" guys. Yes 23 is old for an NBA rookie.

@@fastbreakreport Yes, it's that way because the made that way! It discouraging these young athletes from completing their education. I understand exactly how it works, but it doesn't make it right!
