Imagine being hired as security in the park and having your boss tell you to go chase a mutant T rex with a taser stick, who tf do I look like? Kratos?
The scariest thing about T-Rex is that it likely wouldn't even NEED to outrun you in order to kill you. Recent studies show that they likely had padding on their feet similar to elephants and tigers. Basically a built in silencer for their feet whenever they're actively hunting. On top of having eyesight on par with that of eagles and hawks, the T-Rex would likely kill you before you even realize that it's on top of you.

Theoretically you could out run the tyrannosaurus but you got to factor in its stride it could still catch up to you quickly even if you where 10 feet away running top speed few steps the Rex has gotten you
