Moraug does not add additional main phases, just combat phases. Official ruling: "There won’t be an additional main phase after the additional combat phase. For example, if the landfall ability resolves twice during your postcombat main phase, you’ll get two consecutive additional combat phases after your main phase (untapping your creatures at the beginning of each), followed by your ending phase. " Best play would be attack and in your post-combat main phase play the fetch and use it immediately to create two additional combat phases.

Yeah i knew I was forgetting something with Moraug but couldn’t quite remember. I do go on to mention to mention that it’s extra mains it doesn’t give. So cracking the fetch right away would definitely have been the play.

Bummbleflower is the main one I want to build from bloomburrow. I liked your Cruelclaw. I hate everyone only wants to do the BS worldifre combo

Another great list there. I think my only criticism is that you probably should have played Massacre Worm to deal with your opponents board. The life liss coupled with the loss of critters on their side of the board might have been slightly better. Anyway, a well made deck as per usual. Keep up the good work.

In hindsight yes but it’s hard to say at the time because, whilst the goblins can 1 shot me, there’s no guarantee that they will because they can’t then go on to get rid of the bant player alone. Turns out he didn’t care about that and just wanted to take me down. Thems the breaks.

When it comes to the Power Level 7 dilema, I don't think it is an accurate way to evaluate a deck and way to set standards for a game. Everyone has a different standard on what a 7 is to them so even though you played tutors, Ancient Tomb, etc. I don't feel it was too much out of place. I feel like even it was a pretty square match up in the second game.

The Infamous Cruelclaw is one of those power creep cards that makes tutors completely degenerate and also make the list insanely boring.

I think the way you built that big mana deck, leaves a bit a sour taste if you advertise the game as level 7. For a level 7 deck, I usually expect not to have all the high powered staples like Mana Crypt, Dockside, Vampiric Tutor etc included. I think, a watered-down version of Cruelclaw would still be powerful and fun. And more closely of level 7 power level.

I think it ran like more of an 8 myself. Hard to judge how a deck will operate when it’s my first time running it but I think I misjudged on this one.

@@tribalkai I've been watching for a while, never commented. I like you. It sounds and looks small, but not many people would interact in that straightforward of a manner to criticism on power levels, without kicking up a fuss. Maybe that speaks more of the kind of interactions I have had with EDH players than anything else. But I like you. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, I try my best not to do the internet screeching thing. If people are respectful to me (as they usually are on this channel) then I’ll be respectful back.

Not sure what the ancient tomb beef is. Its just a mana crypt land. I think both of those are just commander staples. Can't personally afford them in paper but wouldn't hate on someone who had them...

It's because fast mana (ancient tomb, mana crypt, sol Ring, etc.) speed up the game. In "casual" You're trying to do things and make jank work, but in cedh you want to go fast to win. Faster=competitive

It’s a really strong land but everyone plays the strong cards on MTGO so viewers often look at your plays through a paper lens and that’s not the right way to interpret things.

@@mitchelschafer1347 so why is it okay to hate those cards while ramp is allowed to run free? ramp = faster games

Since when are tudors allowed in a power level 7? Your opponents were doing it as well so I am not trying to chastise you. But wow cyclonic rift used to be only at the highest power levels. I am just in shock.

Power levels are useless metric until all players can agree on a singular grading rubric.
