He did have a good point but i still think your more likely to become something more sinister when sinister things have happened in your life. I think they were trying to explain it in a way that anyone who isn’t a serial killer or anyone who doesn’t have their mindset could understand. Explaining it in a way where they make it sound relatively normal was probably a way they could satisfy the interviewers.
