Had a lot of fun editing this one so I hope you guys like it. Also I see a lot of comments saying the T-34 was trying to speed me up, but he was following close behind me and would run into me every time I stopped. I assume he was trying to use me for cover.

You know what? I just want a 30 minute video of Spookston having fun in his favorite tanks. Forget compiling every single tank in WT, forget trying to play heavies in lobbies with air spam, I just want "Spookston "enjoying" War Thunder for 30 minutes". Man deserves it.

Fun fact - that 4:56 T28 falling down from the cliff and reaching a 74kph has more kinetic energy (12.55MJ) atm than its T32 round has when leaving the barrel at 3290kph (7,39MJ).

The T-34-85 is a WoT player for sure lmao. It looks like he’s trying to push you (WoT physics assure me being shunted like a freight car makes you go faster), it doesn’t work due to the T28 being fat, but it’s the thought that counts.

Since you've covered the Maus a lot, it would be fun to see how the IS-4M holds up compared to it, especially since both were the kings of ground forces at one point.

10:01 - the way you turned the camera made the T28 look like it's actually so heavy it was bending itself over that hill.

Fun fact. The army nicknamed it the doom turtle not because of the impending doom the enemy now faced, but because any crew that manned it was doomed to be up-tiered against ATGMs and 105mm guns.

You should play The object 120. Its surprisingly survivable if they shoot your side.

If I remember correctly, it wasn't even supposed to actually fight without the second set of tracks on the t95, the outer tracks were removed just to make it possible to transport on trains/trucks or something like that.

There is one singular upside to being as slow as the T28/95. It's genuinely so slow that there's zero gun wobbling. It's like it's stabilized.

T28 and T95 are actually not bad tanks at their BRs. Surprisingly potent.

I think spookston went through all the stages of grief in this video. It may not seem like he hit the acceptance stage,but compared to his emotions before I'd say that was acceptance.

I remember I pushed one of these guys at the beginning of the match (same squad so easy to see him wherever he went anyways) and then pulled off to his left. We basically were parallel to each other for the rest of the match, maybe 70-90 meters apart. We ended up getting like 4 kills each, helping each other. Dude even made it to enemy cap. It was that mode where each team gets 1

The T95 always really worked well with my 'slow and steady' play style but sometimes it really does try even my patience. On the flip side nothing beats the feeling of having someone dump their entire load of ammo into your front end and start screaming in chat at how you are hacking.

Yeah but taking the extra tracks off the T95 makes a huge difference when it comes to playstyle and capability. The extra pair of tracks provide significant advantages in the form of armor and insanely good neutral traverse. If anything, the T28 is one of the better examples of a premium version of a tech tree vehicle.

Your love of gremlin tanks is well known, so hows about a video on the USH 405, or maybe even the T114?

I just had a 7 kill match with it, the T28 is pretty good because there are only a handful of tanks that can pen its frontal armor. The T95 on the other hand has so many tanks that can pen it frontally. Also at 0:51, that person is trying to push you so you can move faster, I know this because I play a lot of T28/T95.

The reason why people stick to heavy tanks that are especially very slow is to push them so they can get to battle a little faster

It can fight M-51's + other HEAT Tanks making it kinda weak if it finds them. (Also the M-51 Gets 3 lives, 4 if they have the premium variant as well)

I love this tank, and i agree with the pushing, i just stop moving or even reverse into them, my biggest annoyance is gettibg my barrel shot out before i get a shot off, but the amount of games where i just go nuts with this thing makes up for it. It also makes a great makeshift spaa

when i was a kid, i got the Road to Rome expansion pack for BF 1942 and the T28/95 was in multiple maps and my 10 year old self absolutely fell in love. the double wide tracks, the MASSIVE mantle, no turret... it was just so cool to me. I watched and read everything i could about it but there wasnt much info about it back then besides it was found in a farmers field and it was on display in Ft. Knox, KY. About 8 years later, the summer of my freshmen year in college, i did a month of training in Ft. Knox and at the end of the month, there was an event held at the patton museum and i was so excited to see it but unfortunately the T28 had been moved by then. Another 4 years later and im in the Armor School in Ft. Benning. the school i went to is somewhat close to the base and they use their shooting ranges sometimes, so when a buddy who was still in school asked me to come to the range, ofc i said yes. to get to this particular range, i had to pass a motorpool which had been used mostly as a storage bay for incoming new vehicles, outgoing new vehicles, AND the collection of armored vehicles that is now on display at the Armor and Cavalry Collection. As im passing by, i look out my window and what do i see? The only surviving example of the T-28. I was so shocked that after 10 years of obsessing over this vehicle i found it out of complete randomness. Absolutely wild. And i got to get up close and personal with it this past september. I dont care how good or bad it was, i just love it.

tbh i keep this around for very specific cases where we need to push through a street that it JUST wide enough for it, then you can basically absorb all the shots for your allies as you advance

I honestly love this thing. Its uses are niche but as a more cautious player, a good spot with it can be devastating, especially with good friendly air support. I got north side in Domination on 38th parallel, went to one spot just south of the right hand spawn overlooking B, sat there for the entire match, and got a double ace. Sure, it could be considered camping, but what am I supposed to do in a tank literally designed to sit in one spot and snipe. A P-59A kept me covered for most of the match, so well in fact that my internet died and I reconnected from a mobile hotspot and was still alive and able to get the last two of ten kills. I love this thing so much, it eats through panthers like nothing else at 6.3 or below. Well worth the money for my play style.

Was my main back in the day. What you would want to do before all these tanks with 300mm+ of pen was added is to go up on a hill and rain hell on the enemy. 12+ kills a match without dying was somewhat common for me to get. The tactics that I remember were 1. Dance your ass off when a enemy is looking at you. 2. Keep your barrel moving 3. make sure to set up the secondary/small arms cam toggle key 4. This is a big one, set yourself up on vantage point and rarely go to cap. long distance is your friend.
