If any modders has an idea about how to make something like what I was talking about in the video a reality, let me know! I'd love to let the Infinite become _truly_ infinite.
I don't know anything about modding specifically, but github pull requests sound like the solution you are looking for. Not sure how much you know about github, but the simplest way to think of it as you having a location where your mod code resides and people can go to that and submit changes to the code there and you can choose whether to merge those changes or ignore them. Of course this is assuming you want to maintain control over what actually gets added/changed. All it would require you to do (after it is all setup) is actually choose what you want to accept into the mod and then actually submit the updates to the workshop whenever you want to. "Github" and "pull request" would definitely be the two things to search for to find out more information and see if it fits with what you were thinking.
@@xiphoid3446 +1. I also came here to say this is a good case for github with pull requests. Open sourcing the mod will let people maintain it for you, and eventually you could even pass on the repo entirely to a new owner
I would absolutely love to see a return to the demo version if its possible. Traveling back in time 400 episodes. Been here since almost the very beginning (I think ?), and I really enjoyed all the brotato videos.
When this series ends it will be strange day for me. I watched this series for about 16 to 20 months. I hope the successor will be also entertaining and successful!
As someone who jumped in on your channel at the early end of this series, it feels like an end of an era! I have since gone back and seen your Hades runs. I bought Brotato on the back of your playthroughs, so I hope what game you choose to make a series of next has the kind of support from the dev and modding communities as you do drive a lot of traffic their way. I think your channel has always done really well with a mix of casual games, roguelikes and card/dice - I hope which ever game you choose provides that same benefit to you of that nice 30 minutes of continuity, as it has been for me to put on at the beginning or the end of the workday and enjoy!
420 that´s a lot , i gonna miss Brotato here. Of course i will watch Retromation. found a lot good games here like Spell Disk, stop the loop , etc. hope Blobfish rise & shine again
watching your brotato videos has been part of my daily routine for the past 8 months and i have enjoyed every moment of it. sad to see the series go but i fully understand the reasoning. my vote for the series that replaces it at least temporarily is risk of rain returns as it has quite a bit of content to unlock and amazing replay ability without meta progression.
I think just adding two variants to infinite would be fun. Blessed (3-4 positive and 1 negative) vs Cursed (3-4 Negative and 1 positive). Adds an wider difficulty coverage and busted runs for Infinite.
I think a great run would be to turn on all the mods that add items and characters that don't clash with eachother and then turn on the random chaos mod :D
Character idea: **__The Echo__** Starts with 2 random perks and 1 random downside. Whenever you enter the shop: Gain 2 random perks and one random downside. Basically, what if Infinite had more Infinites.
maybe you could do a modding serie. you could show people like me how it works, and you would learn how to do what you want to do :D bit like "look. if we done this and that, then..." and you could maybe even show it ingame :D just a spontanious thing i had in mind right now, while watching :D
@retromation What about putting Enemy Damage and Enemy health settings to the Max, and you go back and revisit the characters that felt the strongests/most fun/most popular and try to win with those harder settings.
Idk how people would do that character design but it sounds like a twitch integration type character sounds along the lines of that. Like a poll goes off every wave and gets voted on at the start of the next wave. Would slow down the game dramatically I think, but it seems like something someone would feasibly come up with. I don't know anything about any of how the inner workings of twitch integration functions.
Well, I don't know how to mod but I do have the perfect name for the character. Community Support. Why not name it after an item and what it is exactly. The combination of traits made by the entire community.
Might be a bit outside your usual workflow, but perhaps a quick video showing how you add mods and edit quirks might be nice to get others involved in modding. Also, I really like how the modded character "Believer" is able to randomly generate items and tags prior to selecting weapons. With all respect for the work you've done and sharing it with the world, would you perhaps be open to considering a similar implementation for this character so that players can choose their weapons knowing ahead of time what the perks are?
Regarding pivoting out of Brotato, perhaps a mini return to Revita would be an option as a temp replacement? Not trying to be pushy, just a suggestion. Criminally overlooked game that I got into thanks to you and with Ben's recent announcement there won't be 2.0 it would be nice to see a victory lap of sorts for that gem
Something that the game desperately needs is the ability for engineering and elemental runs to crit. Call the engineering one improved targeting and lower the attack speed, call the elemental one napalm/thermite and have it scale at like 75% of your permanent crit.
