The Fade is the spirit world in Dragon Age, the place people go to when they dream. Mages draw power from the Fade in order to use magic, attracting the attention of demons.

i will say a fair amount of people got into da playing da;i first but some of the biggest charm about these games is carrying on world states from earlier games and decisions you make in the world impacting future games directly baulder's gate isn't like that like dragon age is so you'll definitely want to go back to get more lore and info about the fade etc. in earlier games da:i really does just assume you know everything pretty much

I suppose it’s similar to Witcher in a way as well regarding continued save states and picking up on small details/references throughout. If I do end up enjoying this game enough by the end, I’ll make sure to go back and play the others as well for sure. Thanks for the insight! :)
