The Ins and Outs of the Academic Hiring Process 

You've crafted the perfect CV, tailored your cover letter to the job you're applying for, and fine-tuned your statement of teaching philosophy. You submit your application and then...silence. What happens after you submit your documents, and what will determine whether or not you get an interview? How are you being evaluated when you are invited for a campus interview? And what can you do to anticipate the predictable hurdles of an academic job search? A panel of speakers who have been closely involved with job searches here at the University will shed light on these and other questions during this lunchtime workshop.
