60-75mph this track was actually only ran on by the karts for this race. This is an actual LAtemodel and street stocks. Big car track. they ran this exact race in sikeston Missouri the last time.
Yes this needs some serious editing. A blind squrrill could have done better. Kart racing is good other than that. It brings in another level of racing. It would be better if it was run like the World of Outlaws.
If they are only counting green flag laps they should display the red to let the drivers know they are not counting laps so this BS about racing to the caution stops.
I'm an f1 guy, rally guy, hillclimbs. You get the point. Karts on a short oval have always peaked my interest. It's just that race culture is so different I'm afraid to go to one of these races and be stared at the whole time. One can be in flip flops or a expensive suit at a f1 GP. No one would bat an eye. I would love to participate in a short track but I'll probably be made to feel I don't fit in lol. Especially with so much idiology wars going on in the USA right now.
Sadly you are right I grew up racing at a track like this and going to other tracks now in my 30's with my girlfriend I ask a guy if we could switch spots because she has a reaction to nicotine smoke and dude tried to punk me out so I stood up and said Damn guy I asked nice I never told you to put it out or get out of the stands just switch me seats so smoke goes downwind of us with all these other people and kids that dont smoke around but now I am telling you. Dudes wife called from 4 rows up and he went to sit with her. We had a nice couple to our left and up a row tell us thank you because she was having the same problem but he wasnt brave enough to say anything. It was a bigger event night and so was way more over crowded then normal with a double gate price and lots of crazy events like bus figure 8, a roll over contest and a figure 8 trailer race at an asphalt track. I love going to the smaller tracks because its all friends and family and you'd probably have a blast if you went with a couple of friends and just people watched between classes like we do. The best plan is to find a section with 2 or 3 drivers familes grouped together you can tell because they all have matching shirts they are typically well more manored and keep their kids in line because they dont want to be the ones known for causeing trouble.. Many of the tracks have kid friendly sections where no alcohol or smoking is allowed and thats typically the safest place to be. Buy a pit pass and watch the guys thrash between heats to adjust setups. If you want an F1 or GP style with some back woods mixed in and typically open pits with access to drivers a NHRA drag racing weekends are sweet. I'm lucky because I have had the chance to experiance everything here in indianapolis indiana from small dirt and asphalt to nascar, IRL, F1, and even had suit tickets to the first GP race at the super speedway and you can't miss oriley raceway park for drag racing and car shows...
that ending was as bad as F1 without the sponsors.....wait, they did have a 50k purse !! This needs to be appealed where is Toto Wolf ?? But on a safety note, it was well managed imo On an insane note, it could have made it a 5 lap minimum finish or something otherwise good carting !!
Worst camera angles, camera work and editing EVER! Never actually saw the finish after 1 hour and 15 minutes. Barely even saw the leaders the whole last lap.
