Wow...... the lvl of meat riding is out the window in this video 😂 Either you BIG trolling or rolling on a fat check that his label paid you off wit because aint no way a grown man with working brain cells is calling Yeat "the most creative young artist working today" 🤦🏾♂ Respectfully in my *opinion* as an artist that works his @$$ off to make unique N creative Müzik every single day, you should be ashamed of yourself. #sellout
I hate when people call new artists, styles and sub genres the "death of hip hop". You can find me listening to Kendrick and Yeat back to back on my liked songs. Just like life, music has many different sides to offer and to be enjoyed.
That’s literally life. Don’t think for one second the boomers who grew up listening to classic rock weren’t spat at by their elders. Mfs saying blues and Sinatra or whatever is 10 times better than Eddie Van Halen, Aerosmith, or Rolling Stones. That’s music. That’s art. It’s just human nature to bias the music of your generation.
I was paralyzed from the hair down. It wasn't until my Alexa misheard my wheelchair squeaking and turned on Yeat, my feeling immediately came back and I can fly now. I now own 69,420 acres of agricultural land where I can grow all the opium poppies and tonka trucks required to produce 60 billion 2 liter bottles full of the finest Wokhardt. Thank you so much Yeat for everything you have blessed me with.
His music has so much noise it's addicting. I saw another comment I agree with that after listening to Yeat almost every other artist feels flat and monotone. The constant adlibs, bells, bass, and unique instrumentals on the songs make it hit so hard.
yeat has deadass changed my life i was down bad on my ass with no racks, and when i heard that bell for the first time i instantly started working and getting to the p’s
Yeat is definitely the next big thing in rap. You know you've struck gold when you find an artist that sounds awful the first time you listen to them, a week later you find yourself looking up their spotify, and a month later you're bumping every song they have. That process is a clear sign that the artist is truly breaking new ground.
he may not be a "good" at traditionally rapping, but he is extremely talented at flowing and his syllables and choosing which words go where. Better at that than pretty much any other rapper imo
If u guys listen to yeats older stuff and listen to one of his projects like a few months after that, u gotta admit he’s been evolving at an insane pace that we rarely see other artists can do. Like his old stuff showed that he had his own sound but it was super unpolished and extremely rough, but you could see where he was trying to go with it. Fast forward a year and it’s like he perfected it and already experimenting with new sounds. Yeat is the most interesting artist to emerge these past few years, people just don’t wanna admit it.
Such a great take, the hate new artist get for lack of lirycism and storytelling comes from people who don't apreciate melodies and overall sound as much. I love where the music is headed right now.
this is a bad take. plenty of artists check the melody and sound boxes while also achieving high levels of lyricism and storytelling. at the end of the day tastes may differ, but yeat is objectively a low skill player in the rap game. call me a boomer but kool moe dee wouldn't give yeat more than a c+.
@@criznash i disagree, my top 2 is kdot and nas and even though i steer towards artists with hard hitting storytelling and punchlines, most people aren't listening to music just because of how skilled the MC is. yes yeat is a bad rapper but ur not going to get the average person to listen to big L just because randoms online said he is the king of punchlines, they want to vibe out to the sound of the music and yeat is the king of this new soundcloud lane of production. some people listen to rap to turn up to and some people listen to rap for the rapping its nothing wrong with either of them
@@reeseon10 give a few more listens if you're up for it I'd like to think I don't d ride but yeat been my favorite & only rapper I've kept up with lately he has little punchlines/"bars" and once u hear I bet you'd appreciate it a lot more. His unreleased way better imo also
@@criznash Maybe it’s not “storytelling” but Yeat definitely has very unique wordplay of you listen carefully. Try checking out a song like “Money So Big” it’s quite creative
his beats remind me of some hyperpop and i think that’s why a lot of people don’t really mess with him. his way of rapping is just to sound good with the beat. he’s not rlly trynna say anything and some people hate that about him.
I literally listen to Yeat's songs everyday, it's true he may not have the most deeep meaning lyrics, but the flow and the beats are so well made that it's just blessing to the ear
Before I listened to Yeat, I was nothing. A loser you could say. One day my homie said, "hey have you heard Yeat". I said no, so he turned on Off tha lot . I heard the pure emotions coming from his words. I cried deep emotional tears and realized at that very moment I could make something of myself. I turned my life around and became a very cool person and broke out of my shell. He saved me. Yeat saved me. Thank you . He is our savior. He saved me from living life as a loser. Being a Yeat fan isn't just a hobby, it's a lifestyle, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. It's art, the first gift you open on Christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you've ever wanted, everything you need.
The past couple years I've been really exploring hip hop, listening to all the best, classic albums/mixtapes and it really put into perspective how dull and unoriginal a lot of mainstream rappers are today. I didn't find pretty much any of the artists that blew up in 2020 onwards interesting at all. They all sounded like watered down versions of Future, Thugger, Travis, Uzi, Carti or Juice WRLD to me. I was getting more and more difficult to impress, so it's safe to say that when I first heard Yeat it was such a breath of fresh air. Even though his production was similar to Carti's, his vocals sounded like a mix of Future and Thugger and his lyrics were the usual, generic trap topics I still couldn't stop listening to it. I saw a review on Up 2 Me saying that his music has some sort of mind control ability attached to it and I think that pretty much sums it up. With his manic, layered production that sounds like it's alive and an array of interesting flows, I really think Yeat is the most cutting edge and innovative trap artist out right now alongside Baby Keem. Imo, these guys are the true stars pushing the genre forward amidst a lot of passable artists who aren't necessarily bad, but are just too safe to make me care about them.
i haven't seen your videos in my recommended page in years. i loved watching ur videos abt tyler, earl, frank, thugger, etc. from a couple years back. i'm glad this video popped up on my recommended page. gonna binge watch all ur new videos 🫶🏽
Yeat sounds chill. Someone who minds their own business and does the best they can. I don’t have to justify anything, because he makes bangers anyway!!!
He's one of the only artists where I can listen to every single track without wanting to skip. I generally consider myself someone who is open to all types of music and I listen to artists like yeat, Kendrick, Isaiah Rashad, Drake, Weeknd, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q etc in one sitting. As of now, its difficulty listening to other artists bc I'm expecting the same energy and feeling that I get from Yeat on every track.
I feel like Yeat has an almost edm like quality to him that attracts people to him. It's vague to say "edm" but I can't think of another popular genre that can be played as ambient music where the focus isn't usually on individual songs, but more the feeling an album carries. I wouldn't compare his style even though heavily influenced by cartis to whole lotta red. WLR has very distinctive songs and style which moved away from earlier albums like die lit and cartis earlier work which blends into each other in a very similar way. IDK what Yeats long term looks like considering he just cranks out tons of music, but I can see what makes him appealing now being his decline when it becomes "You've heard one Yeat song and you've heard them all"
He said “don’t do drugs” in one of the few interviews he’s done when asked if he had a message to the kids. I know he does drugs, but the fact that he basically said “don’t be like me” is pretty cool of him.
I think eventually yeat will sit down and really write something. I’m not saying he’s gonna bar us to death or anything. But with Afterlyfe you can see the shift. There’s more artistically driven cuts on that project and you can see he’s developing a vision.
My 13yo nephew told me his fav song was Nun Id Change, so I checked it out and OMG I instantly fell in love with his vibe. Albums on repeat while gaming.
I remember when I listened to get busy, shit was crazy. Only march 2021 and he had 2 mill to 3 mill monthly listeners, man just flew after that, CRAZY 💫
I was deceased and very poor before my death so i didnt have anything for my family to inherit until my friend played yeat at my funeral. After that i rose from the ground to listen to the peak music and became very rich, i now have 12 billion dollars and a fortune to leave for my family and friends.
I think we need to re-calibrate what a musical genius is even though I know it’s subjective not only in Termanology but also because music is subjective I still feel like we’re getting a little bit too ridiculous with who we call musical geniuses
@@Volksgeist I don’t know who you’re talking to but one it’s clear that I’m a woman And two I have no idea who Griselda is. And I’m also black so I don’t get what this comment is or who it’s directed to but I didn’t think my comment was that crazy to elicit a response like this. Edit: OK read the thread and saw that it was directed to this other person. And I guess you just responded in general or I’ll get a notification either way. My bad! make sure to tag!
he definitely does tell stories in songs from up 2 me like kant change, lying 4 fun, told ya, etc. dnt lie off 2 alive also has some pretty good story telling and clever lyrics definitely setting the scene when you REALLY listen. however you describe who he is as an artist you are spot on
I just wanna say that Summrs, Kankan and Autumn are all breaking into the mainstream because their songs are hella popular on TikTok so you saying that they aren’t breaking out of the underground is wrong
Actually this is highly debatable. For one Autumn could be up there with Yeat by now but he keeps making songs that is similar to everyone else’s so he’s struggling when it comes to views. If he continue to make songs like One Way he’ll definitely rise to the top. And for the other rappers not everyone knows them like that and their music is kind of uninteresting.
Its crazy cus I've been waiting for a beat sound like his for a long time. It's time to shine soon...I can bet Yeat never bought views from *AUTHENTIC views*
The best part of Yeat is the people who don’t like him trying to cope with not being apart of the wave by saying he’s gonna fall off. People have been saying it for over a year now 💀💀💀
You can never hate on someone making a lane for themselves and being successful at it but I can’t wait until words like genius and masterpiece Actually have meaning and weight behind them again
My boy pmo yeat before he blew up. I was listening to a few of his tracks and when my ex broke up with me I bumped Get Busy and that song got me thru the night ever since then Yeat has gotten me thru my toughest times. One of my fav artist.
I was born deaf and couldn’t read and write due to my learning disability. One day I felt this strong thumping vibration coming from outside. I looked out the window and noticed a very lively party across the street. I couldn’t hear as I was deaf but I quickly took out my phone opened the Shazam app and what happened next was unexpected. Like for part 2
I swear any song with 808s and a trap-sounding beat is considered rap. Playboi, Pierre, Yeat is something different Synths are coming back from the 80s bro but with different a type music
@@wojciechbalcerzak7395 completely different than carti, carti can’t make Jus Better and yeat can’t make sky because yeat is like the non flamboyant carti
Yeat is what Future, Young Thug, Uzi, and Carti were when they all first came out. People will hate on him because he's trying new things, doing it different, innovating. He's creating his own sound, and people just aren't ready for it. It's sad to see that this cycle of close minded this in the hip hop community just never seems to end. But the people who do support REALLY support him. His fans are the ones who are truly dedicated, who understand his craft. And at the end of the day, that's what will matter. Just like others before him, people will look back on Yeat and realize how strong and unique his sound truly was. The respect will come slow, but it will come. And us fans are the people who can say they saw that beauty from the very beginning.
me personally, I don't like him. However, that doesn't mean that he's a bad artist. I like rap because it's a way for people to tell stories and share their feelings in a catchy way. What yeat does is the exact opposite of what I look for in a rap song. But at the end of the day he makes more money than I do so who am I to judge.
I just go back to when i was first introduced to young thug, catchy as hell, somewhat weird and odd at the time and after a couple songs you're blaring out the tracks and loving everything that he drops
Late 2020 early 2021 right before yeat blew up on tik tok I kept asking myself when is he gonna miss back when he was dropping songs every week and he just didn’t. Thats when I realized he rlly next up and people gon realize soon.
yeat has a spell when first litsen too him you get a love spell on his music and you become a twizzy fr when i listened too "x still" i was dead and i went to heaven and came back down too my body i was floating
@@limerence2004 You right, the first half is super mid 😭. I kind of like the beat on the second half, but I don’t like what Yeat is doing over it. Not a fan of this one tbh.
bro i got kendrick and cole in my playlist along with yeat 2 totally different vibes and ppl say yeat doesn't speak about anything. yeat raps about the life he lives which is basically a walking x pill people can't relate to that but people also can't relate to what most rappers rap abt. yeat has a few songs where he talking like real shit like wayback, lying 4 fun and the most recent one myself which he talks about the success of his career and what he accomplished but also a cry for help. song low key had me tearing up
Yeat is up next. Plain and simple. And if your gonna sit here and deny that when you put on turban and the bass starts booming in your fucking ears, that doesnt wanna make you jump out of your chair and start pouring a double cup? I mean that's insanity to me
