This is one of my favorite interviews because it involves trivia, and trivia about my favorite co-stars at that. And I love Stana's knowing grin after she immediately replies, "Teaching."
Oh boy, I started watching Castle 2 weeks ago, and now I have a serious crush on Stana. =0 This hasn't happened to me in a long time. But dammit, she is so frickin' perfect.
Nicolas Pan Stana is drop dead gorgeous, but I have more of a crush on Molly haha I have a thing for the redheads, guess I'm just like Castle and Gibbs
antred11 Haha, she's a year older than me so it's quite fitting. It's really weird because she looks the spitting image of my girl next door from school, just red hair instead of blonde which is the only improvement possible to me
It's even more ironic Stana got the job at Castle because the producers saw Fillion helping her with her clothing and thought they'd get away well together...
OMG! Stana knows 5 languages??? she's pretty, sexy, she sings well, and an awesome actress and now she knows 5 languages??? couldn't she get more perfect?? hahahahahah! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE STANA
I didn't see any of that on Wikipedia. What I did see on Wikipedia is: "Katic was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Croatian Serb parents named Katić. In describing her own ethnicity, she has stated "My parents are Serbs from Croatia. I call us Dalmatian..."[3] Her parents both emigrated from Yugoslavia. Her father is from Vrlika, and her mother is from the surrounding area of Sinj." And, living in/working in/marriage in France does not mean NATIONALITY. Citizenship is different.
Yea, Stana is. Once again the question was for Olga Kurylenko (because Angelica was askin for the James Bond girl in Quantum of Solace, movie Stana starred in)
stana goes into morganstern mode when she says "...we haven't seen you since the days of OLTL, and i was like 'what is OLTL?'" sounds exactly like morganstern again there. :)
Actually she's not, her parents are from what used to be Yugoslavia, which is now broken up into Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia.
people, obviously nathan meant 1st as in the 1st of the RECENT Bond movies, Casino Royale. But he was wrong in the fact that she was in the 1st Craig-Bond movie (because Stana was in Quantum of Solace). What bugs me is that The Insider lady doesn't do her research because she didn't even know that Quantum is the SECOND of the recent films! so annoying. Anyways, i love Nathan, i love Stana, i love 'Castle' :)
@FireflyFanatic3 actually u guys (english speaking ppl) are lucky cuz others have to take english International exams to prove that we have a high level! even I have and I'm half Irish! :(( lolz
OK! Such a misunderstanding. We were not talking about Katic but about Olga Kurylenko because Katic played in Quantum of Solace and some were asking abuot who were the James Bond Girl of this film and her nationality.
Stana don't want people to know that she's from Hamilton? Hamilton, by the way, is Ontario's 'ghetto' city. She's hot as hell by the way, AND Canadian!
Jesus, how can those people shoot scenes in jackets in LA, when everybody around is wearing short sleeves? That one thing alone would never persuade me to become an actor. I imagine is not just a one time thing, you have to stay on set for the entire day sweating all the time.
@FireflyFanatic3 I'm half Irish and I was lazy too, and I did say the same thing to my mum "English is the international language" she deny it so here I am with 3 languages more! lol! Italian is the sexier and spanish is quite cool! U can do it!!!
It was all a lie. They hated each other. The only questions are a whether it was instantaneous or if the hate grew over time? Was there a major incident or breaking point? Did Stana quit or was she fired? Was she more sick of the show or Fillion?
@19ilse98 wow.... I know one. -.- lol I really suck at learning other languages. And my language teacher at school turned me off the subject SOOO much...
@FireflyFanatic3 I guess the teacher is really important at it! I leant all as part of growing up like Stana, that way is easy! I only studied Italian to improve it! :P lol
@annaDarcy17 lol yes I guess. Most schools have at least one language as compulsary up to the age of 16, but our school didn't, so I copped out the minute I could! lol :P I'm quite tempted to learn Tolkien's 'Elvish' to be honest ... I'm such a nerd :P lol
@annaDarcy17 maybe ... I guess I'm just an ignorant, lazy English teenager :P lol tbf, I think it's easier for English-speaking people because English is the sorta 'official international language', and lots of people speak it, so we can afford to be lazy :P I wish I did know another language, I really do. I think some languages sound so sexy too!! (like Italian and Spanish :P) but I just SUCK at learning other languages...
@annaDarcy17 yes, that's it. If you learn it when you're growing up it's a lot easier :) lol Yeah, I didn't start till I was 11, and I only did it for 2 years, cos I hated my teacher and sucked at it so much!! :P
They were not yugolsavian but from different SSR. Her dad came from actual Ukraine and she was born in these. She acquired french citizenship because of marriage / living in France / working in France during her adult life. (Wikipedia is my best friend)
@annaDarcy17 hehe lol :P Yeah, I really don't like it when people have the attitude that there's no need to speak another language because their's is everywhere. That kind of attitude can be really ignorant. But I just ... suck at it :P lol Yeah I probably if I really put my head down to it, but I would find it incredily difficult, and it doesn't inspire me. My french teacher at school REALLY turned me off the subject!!! lol :P
