I love this show its episodes and jokes like this that showed this show was ahead of its time. If this was in south park this would be a he took your job joke.
Dang, the Inspector got replaced by a robot! That is so low! Not only that, the Commissioner got replaced with the robot, too! Serves him right for replacing the Inspector with the robot! Lol!
The inspector has always been a very welcome bit of the Pink Panther Show, although the Blue Aardvaark is a cool customer too! Thanks for uploading this gem of yesteryear!
This one was baised on a old Twight Zone episode that had the head of a factory replacing all his workers with robots until he himself was replaced. Classic gag.
I think the song is called "A Shot In The Dark" from the film of the same name (the 2nd Pink Panther film to be released) and the song is by Henry Mancini...just like the Pink Panther theme. In the film title sequence it's much slower, but still very cool! But this version rocks, indeed!
THE COMMISSIONER GOT WHAT HE DESERVES! He first treat his inspector like dirt and then fires him in favor of a robot policeman. He should've known that his job would be next in line for the robot after firing the inspector.
"Eh, shut up and pass ze salt!" The Inspector should've clobbered him. However, I don't think the Commissioner necessarily treated the Inspector like dirt. He could be very incompetent which would get on the Commissioner's nerves.
@@alexanderpytko5394 With the Commissioner out of work and the robot taking over his job, wouldn't that mean the Inspector would have his old job back?
The commissioner replaced the inspector with the robot but then the commissioner was replaced by the robot. The commissioner brought all this on himself. This shows why it's important to think things through before having technology do a job because it could cost people their jobs. The question isn't,"CAN we take the next step?", the question is,"SHOULD we take the next step?"
Omg you are 100% right. Cartoons completely lost their way during the late 80s and became junk during the 90s but when the cartoon network started around 2000s I think it brough back the toons. And like you mentionded dexter/powerpuff/ and even the asian stuff brought back the value of toons. Good toons never left they just had no place to be seen. Thank god for youtube.
I used to watch this in spanish when I was a kid. Watching it in english is just as funny. I love it . I wonder what a french detective would sound like .
these cartoons were often so minimal in their background art and animation but you can't beat this stuff. The comedic timing- the laughs per minute- the great sound effects- we kinda lost funny during the 80s somewhere... and then we had a small real cartoon revival with some of the HB cartoons (Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, PPG, etc.), but nothing is funny now.
The poor inspector... but funny nontheless! Thanks for posting ... this is great!! And its in English for once ... not Spanish or German or some other language.
Maybe if they pretend he is not the same character they can use him when ever they want, i'm not sure they could use him at all after these shorts if his name was Clouseau.
