Hey there!
how's it going gang? about what i said in the intro, this event really DID bring some new life to me hahah- I know there's a ton of exploration to do still but I'm trying to space it out a bit, so we don't start HATING it and so we have more exploration over a longer time c:
maybe if there's a GAA this year again (or hopefully something new tbh) we can get a % on that map too!! would be super nice
i relate a lot to Kaveh in this honestly.. fun fact, before i started youtube i wanted to study for architect if my translator job didn't go as planned!!
kaveh building will be the next video this weekend! and that honkai impact video will go on 2nd channel. about baizhu- uh.. you'll see this weekend too I guess!
MADAM faruzan and kaveh definitely grew on me this quest, also REALLY like "awake" layla!! bob is bob. and not hat guy. also getting used to tighnari's new voice AND adventurer cyno is still a champion (aka: i loved this event)
imma record the minigames just for fun, it's been a while and events lately have been.. uninteresting really, just freemos

FUN FACT! I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but if you chose not to tell Kaveh about the information you learned about his father, Alhaitham will be the one to tell him. They honestly have a pretty fun conversation, and it's honestly sweet because of how Kaveh thanked Alhaitham for helping him learn the truth and Alhaitham wanted to here his thanks again. You know that they actually care for each other, but they, especially Alhaitham, suck at expressing it.

They just don't agree with each other because they think in totally different way and have different perspectives so their opinions clashes. Other than that, they do help each other in their own way.

@@succinyerbollz at the same time I can't stand Kaveh 'altruism' when it cause him so much pain and that many that loves him also can't stand him to be like that. It's exhausting to love Kaveh when he knows his biggest flaw to his downtrodden life but will not change because he always feels guilty about what happened to his father and this is his way to amend his 'fault'. Kaveh doesn't let Alhaitham walks over him, they are equal in intelligence and standing with achievements with the only difference that Kaveh gives and gives and will not let himself happiness. Kaveh does this to himself and not anyone else. It's frustrating when people only see this is as Kaveh 'babygirl' and not actual harmful thing to one psyche and just blame everything on Alhaitham.

@@chican26 Kaveh helps others and can't stand up for himself. Alhaitham passively uses him and actively insults him. Now who's to blame. Actually no one cuz Alhaitham doesn't mean harm. But fact wise he is a douchebag and the person who makes his life horrible. Kaveh can handle everything he himself does, it's his own deal and he's old enough to be by himself. But to actively make it worse... Nah man you can't convince me. In the end it's just one of many interpretations of a few pixels

If you opt not to tell Kaveh about his father, Alhaitham will spawn in the same spot and there's a nice scene of him telling Kaveh instead. If you get this route, Kaveh isn't as sad and it ends on a happier note with Kaveh thanking Alhaitham before they go back to their friendly bickering lol.

The Layla and Faruzan hangout are both really good and reveal a ton about their characters! I’m not fond of sleepy Layla’s voice direction in English either, so I ended up playing different paths in Japanese and Chinese and enjoyed it a lot that way. They refer to the Layla/“other” Layla situation as “sleepwalking,” but it is 100% DID (dissociative identity disorder) brought about by Layla’s academic stress and anxiety. You learn a lot more about them both in her hangout :)

if you would've done faruzan's hangout there would be no text which appears when you meet a character first time, so yeah, hangouts count as official meetings with characters

The Sumeru cast is just so fun and I love when they interact with each other, so this event was such a treat for me. I already really liked Kaveh before and after this I just love him even more. ❤

Im excited to see your playthrough of this event!! I love how all the characters get together in this but the event is undeniably starring primarily our king Kaveh the empath and honorable artist!! He truly deserves the world and i never felt more represented as an idealist and fellow artist until he comes into the picture in this game - justice for every creative and idealist who never loses their honor and integrity and keep moving forward! 👏

Its so cool that this event has different endings! So nice to see the more depressing ending and how different choices actually lead to different outcomes. I got the more wholesome ending with Kaveh thanking Alhaitham for looking out for him.

in the middle, you were asking if yelan can drink water she created in the desert, the answer to that is no. any substances created from a vision holder are different than the usual substances. anything that is created by the power of vision is pure elemental substances that is being pulled from elemental realm and is very harmful for a human body to consume. imagine it like water chemical compound is liquid H2O, but hydro is consist of something entirely different that happens to have exact same characteristics to liquid H2O

And alhaithams little look hints at faruzan actually let him win the points like she always intended on And with kaveh grabbing faruzans device i think he did it so it not only wouldn't hurt anyone but so he could also get it back to her lol This has to be one of my favorite events good to see all the new 4 stars having so much screen time lol

I REALLLY want to see you do the hangouts. Faruzan and Layla's hangouts were very good, and you get a lot of backstory to them. Layla's also had a fun mechanic that was a bit different to other hangouts.

I currently don't agree that Genshin is in a slump rn. In my honest opinion the reason everyone find HSR so refreshing atm is because of Content Creator Burnout & Player Burnout from playing Genshin way to much. It won't be long till HSR is the same way for people their gonna binge till they burn themselves out again. Also Layla has a split personality. Tired Always Worried Layla & Confident Workaholic Energetic Other Layla... yeh Workaholic Other Layla is why normal Layla doesn't get sleep lol. Layla doesn't know Other Layla exists and that's exactly how Other Layla wants it. She makes sure Layla gets her work done on time.

Aww you got the bad ending 😔 if you make different choices in the Dori side quest/don't do the side quest, Alhaitham talks to Kaveh at the end and it's much less depressing. They even seem to come to an understanding

I see the slump you mentioned. I think majority of the other CCs I've seen also skipped the Dori quest. But to be fair the info Kaveh gives is all in his character story profile, but I just find it ironic that people were complaining about how the characters' stories were hidden in text lore but now that Hoyo actually puts it in the story as a quest, everyone skips it 😂😂 They really should have voiced this quest, to emphasize the importance. The timing is impeccable for the slump. But I hope this doesn't dissuade hoyo from doing this again for other characters huhu

I looked forward to this event to see wanderer in his college boy era and I got that but I didn't expect he would be in his hasanabi era as well lmaooo him being a polsci major just fits him so good!!

This event was so good!!! I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed also, I'm glad that it was very kaveh focused almost looking like a story quest like the 5* haves tbh sjhdjsbfbs he turned out to be one of my favorite characters so i was so !!!! Sumeru characters have the most enjoyable relationship to me, they look like a big family haha its an amazing cast! also this event was very important for kaveh's relationship with alhaitham too, they have a really sweet scene in the end if you dont tell him about the investigation so alhaitham tell him instead and he dont get sad like this about it and say thank you :( they're so good to each other they're such good characters!!! I hope we get to see more of Kaveh again IM SO HAPPY YOU LOVE HIM TOO MR.NASYO

Great video as always! I'm so glad you put out these videos because it's such a shame to lose these amazing stories once the event is over. Also, if you don't tell Kaveh about his father at the end you get a different cutscene where Alhaitham tells him the truth, and Kaveh seems to take it better coming from him, so the whole thing ends on a slightly happier note.

You can see both versions by doing the quest, and then not telling him about the results after everything's been dealt with.

1:27:44 funnily enough we do have some lore about this, if you do stuff like read the hydro slime entries it repeatedly makes clear hydro is *not* water. It can technically be used in a pinch to hydrate, but it's actually bad for humans to be exposed to too much elemental energy. Think back to the bad reaction we saw from that npc when we made the teapot. If you have a Vision it does make you more resistant to elemental energy, but it doesn't make you immune.

With the release of Star Rail and not so exciting banners recently (Dehya has mixed reception and Baizhu is so-so, Kaveh is actually more exciting to play), I also feel like the event feels more like a chore - the story is too long for me and I have the tendency to talk to everyone at every moment to not miss anything (plus using Nahida to mind read as much as I can). With my work schedule, I am still in the middle of these quests and haven't completed everything even when it's less than a week left. I feel the duration for these long events are too short. In short, I'm getting burned out. Not to mention the next event requires completion of the new world quest which I have to use Quick Start on. There's so much new World Quests that I haven't been able to keep up with too.

The next quest only requires the completion of the first part of the world quest to use quick start. Lucky for us, it's rather short if you read fast.

since you asked about layla being a different person, if you do layla’s hangout it’s a bit more elaborated upon but in short layla has DID (dissociative identity disorder) which causes her to have a second personality which appears when she’s under stress or simply when resting.

It's interesting that if you don't do the dori side quest before you finish the event quest, instead of talking to kaveh and telling him about the investigation, there will be an interaction with alhaitham and kaveh bickering instead. Nice detail I think

If you read Kaveh's mind when they were meeting up in the tavern, yes, Kaveh was going to buy more food to bring home. So Alhaitham was right in assuming that Kaveh will bring leftovers. And I don't know what triggered it but I got a different ending for the last part HAHA when I was playing, it wasn't us who told Kaveh about his dad meeting up with Sachin, but Alhaitham. Kaveh called bullshit on his reason solely on Sachin's research, and Alhaitham revealed that he mostly followed up on it because there was a mention of Kaveh's dad in his research. I didn't know about the fact that it was because of Kaveh's wish though...

Hi Rednas! If you chose to lie to Kaveh, you'll find out that Alhaitham only took the commentator job for Kaveh's sake because he wants to investigate Kaveh's father's death. That's also why he's been leaving his notes for Kaveh to read. Kaveh would also find out the truth through Alhaitham, but Al would make it so he doesn't get depressed by it.
