Story Playthrough Epilogue of Mad Max on PS4 Just a quick video showing off the end of story unlocks which include The Interceptor V8 as well as Max's classic leather jacket and sawed-off shotgun. Mad Max store.playstat...
Elias Stubbs I think that would be a good idea. Much like Fallout where you can come across missions just by talking to random people and it would give a greater effect of being alone in the wasteland and always on edge just like in Mad Max 2
John Moyle there was really only one gun and it was max's and that's accurate to the movies. I wish they would've made ammo and fuel harder to come by though
In the first one I wish we could've got the interceptor in a weakened state and upgraded it instead of the magnum opus i know you get it at the end but it would've been cool to rebuild it from the start of the game
shoopdawhoop Yeah they wanted to use Tom Hardy's face but couldn't get the rights to his image so I don't think they would have a chance in hell of getting Mel Gibson's likeness.
@@thronritter6295 Then how can you disagree if you haven't even leveled anything therefore you haven't used the 4 barrel shotgun? Trust me it does way more damage and has a better spread which can take out more enemies at once. It takes out armored wheels in one shot where as the iconic sawed off takes like 3 shots. It's definitely a down grade.
Yeah that's a fair point. There are 2 references to motorcycles I know of. one is a History Relic collectible which is photo that just says, "what the hell is this?!" and the other reference is a pickup with a bike welded to the back. Would have been a good add-on, especially motorcycle combat and fast, agile enemy bikes.
I know! Me too because his death served absolutely no purpose other than to be dramatic. But he couldn't let go of his divine creation and went with it to the asphalt in the sky. Haha maybe it was his punishment for trying to eat Dinki-Di in the beginning 😊 To be fair though Chumbuckit was the unsung hero of the game. He designed, built and upgraded the car and without Chum, Max would have never survived.
I've played this game about 4 times so fa and its still like playing it for the first time. We need a Mad Max 2 in the near future! Also the addition o fuel consumption should be more realistic I've only ran empty in the interceptor once so far. I would love to search for guzoline at nearby forts or scavenging the outback wasteland.
One thing I wish they had as a hardcore Mad Max fan, was the ability to wear every rendation of of Max's jacket from each of the films as well as the ability to craft different variety of vechiles based off of the ones that show up in the trilogy as well as Fury Road.
I agree. This game had so much more potential. They made a point of saving Dinki at the beginning of the game but you only use him a few times to clear landmines. Also the gyrocopter would have been an awesome addition especially as the map is big enough for an airborne vehicle. I still think the game is worth owning especially as a Mad Max fan and I think it is on sale on PS Store at the moment. Thanks for commenting by the way 😊
Unfortunately not. I found this quite irritating because the blood would build up as Max got punched and it starts on the torso as a big blob and even if you heal yourself it stays. The only way to get rid of it is to die and reload the checkpoint. Quite annoying especially during cutscenes.
Unfortunately no. Once you finish the story you kind of just have free roam. like mopping up side missions and getting collectibles and meesing about. I think they missed out on an opportunity there. It would have been cool to play through the whole story as classic Max
This is pretty much the course for Avalanche Studio games. Solid but barebone sandbox mechanics, plenty of (lifeless) dirt to explore, a generally shallow storyline, and no replayability after story completion. It mostly works in this particular setting though. I was also surprised this studio managed to nail much of the gritty Mad Max look down, thanks in part to George Miller's participation in the development and the studio's research for worldbuilding.
I love this game! So good especially if you're a Mad Max fan:) There are a couple of things I'd add and change to make this an even more awesome game! 1. Add Dog (Dinki-di) into the Interceptor's passenger seat. Just because and that's how it was in Mad Max 2. 2. Have the option to hold down the nitro boost button to give you continuous boost until the bar is depleted rather than short little bursts. Again that will make it more movie accurate. 3. Have an unlockable vehicle which is the Gyro Captain's Helicopter:) Would be really cool to fly around to different locations and dropping off molotov cocktails on the enemies below, hey why not add some snakes to it too!:) 4. An just for fun have Max's Camel vehicle form Beyond Thunderdome. Camels can run fast so image a chase with them?! ;) haha
I agree with everything else besides the gyrocopter. That would be very hard to develop and the dog in the back seat would be cool if be could to land mines plus the hold down boost would be cool
Max Rockatansky is the newest Wastland Wrestling Entertainment Superstar! All Jokes aside... I LOVE what Avalance Studios did here.. the Moveset is brilliant. Raw, brutal, in you face. Exactly how it has to be!
Well you only have to do the story missions to access it however the game forces you to liberate a lot of areas to unlock the next story mission. It does this a few times throughout the game so I would say about 20hrs and that is without the side missions.
I really think they should have had the interceptor as a new game+ vehicle, playing without using the magnum opus would have been an amazing experience.
Yeah I know right! Using the Interceptor end-game is an interesting experience but there is really not that much to do besides driving around. Playing through the whole game would be much better with all that speed and agility and just your shotgun would have made the combat a helluva lot more intense.
It would literally be impossible to play the game with just the interceptor, you need all the extra shit that is put on the magnum opus(sniper, harpoon, thunderpoon)to get through the game. You also need chumbucket to ride in the back the whole time.
No you don't there are no parts where you NEED the sniper, Harpoon or the thunderpoon just where they are USEFUL... the whole point of NewGame+'s is that they are supposed to be more challenging, playing mad max with only your shotgun and your vehicle as a weapon is more true to the story than (stupidly large amounts of harpoons in the back of a seemingly empty car)
Wow thank you for your kind words :) I haven't uploaded as regularly as I would like to but I will get my act together and start uploading more frequently.
the 2 vechicles that would be GREAT to get at the ending is the land mover and The War Rig even tho they both were destoryed but it would still be awsome
The one thing the developers did nail was Gastown and it's connections to Fury Road. Scrotus being the son of Immortan Joe and the war boys being from "somewhere beyond these lands" as I overheard in jest's stronghold, referring to Immortan Joe's land
This game is great but theres just a little something not there that keeps it from being god tier. The story at the end sucked as well imo but you know. He doesnt care at all for them then literally right after leaving them for dead decides he loves them so of course they die and he's hell bent on revenge all in the span of like 2 missions.
Hahaa yeah that is what I thought too. He jist suddenly decides that he cares about people and has to avenge them! That's the problem with most open world games in general, the story isn't very strong and often the side missions are more intriguing and feel more complete.
Agreed but the problem with using an actor's likeness is an issue of permissions. Same reason they didn't use Tom Hardy's likeness for the game. Not only is it very expensive but Avalanche would have had to get express permission to use the likeness in ALL aspects of the IP including posters, TV spots, trailers and other promotional materials even if it was jist a likeness not the exact face. Its a damn shame but thats the world we live in 👎
Yeah I still think they did a great job even with the limitations they had to deal with. I also believe that George Miller being involved with the game had a massive positive impact on its quality.
should have added more content to this game should have been loaded to the pack for a single player but really it should have been a multiplayer and single player open world game
What is this area called again? It was always my favorite. I especially liked the mission where you go into the underground church. I think it would be really cool to have a huge underground "mansion" like that amidst the desert. Also, the buzzards are the best faction.
Hey whatSongIsThis? Thanks for the comment. I think the area was part of The Big Nothing but the map just refers to it as The Dunes. The Buzzard stonghold (buried airport) was called The Underdune. I really liked this area too especially the buried church and the subway stations. I remember finding a large house buried in the sand whilst looking for relics. It was really creepy and there was a dead Buzzard on one of the beds. They could have expanded on this aspect and a buried or even partially buried mansion would have been cool. Would have shown a bit more effectively that it used to be a living breathing world.
Hi guys I know I have been off the radar for a while but I should be getting back into recording soon and will hopefully be live-streaming Mad Max in the not too distant future. Also just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone for watching and reaching over 100 subscribers!!!! It sure means a lot to me and I will hopefully be bringing more content soon. Thank you and take care.
Dan Kyei Gaming One question, Even though Chumbucket is killed and the Magnum Opus is destroyed in the final mission. Is the vehicle still drivable one I have completed the game?
Hey Tom! Yes absolutely and you can continue to unlock the better upgrades and V8s by clearing out the maps ans sidequests. Chumbucket is resurrected. Immediately after I skip the credits in the video a message window pops up. If you pause the video and read the message it explains what you can do post-game. Hope this helps you out 👍
Hi xEx xEx thanks for the comment. Yeah could have been. To be fair I was really quite suprised by the overall quality of the game as licenced franchise tie-ins tend to be atrocious. I wonder what Avalanche will work on next!
xEx xEx Also don't hold your breath for dlc. They didn't even release the pre-order bonus car body...even after all this time I haven't been able to download it.
Dan Kyei Gaming i buyed the game like when they released the game, and thanks to that, i got the pre-order car, im glad this was a good game, but it had more potential :).
I Still playing this, finished the game for my 3rd time, and i so sad that is not a continuation for the story, a would be happy if this had a new game plus, but we don't have it...as an mad max fan, i keep replaying year after year, sometimes just rolling with the interceptor listening to 80s songs
Wow I haven’t even gotten close to the end but can’t to unlock his iconic leather jacket and shotgun even the inceptor I actually saw two Classic mad max movies and fury road never watched beyond thunderdome. Though
Hey Roze Rec. When I played through the game you just get to carry on after the story but there was no New Game+ not sure if they have added one since. I haven't played it in over a year mow. Would be good if they did though.
Haha yeah I think that it is a great game and the developers did well to capture the wasteland and the horrors that an apocalypse event would bring. They also did a fantastic job of giving the player the feeling of power that comes with owning a weaponised vehicle and the freedom that a car brings to an otherwise restricted existence. Most inhabitants are kind of stuck in Gastown and venturing out on foot leaves them at the mercy of the gangs. I would welcome a 2nd game but I'm not sure what they could do to expand on the gameplay and the universe.
I really wish the iconic sawed-off did more damage. It's like way weaker than the quad-barrel and you sacrifice two extra bullets. I heard it's better against top dogs so I hope that's true, I couldn't really tell though but agianst groups of enemies I can kill a max of 2 if I'm lucky while with the other one I've taken out almost whole groups with one shot. It's a shame because it looks so damn cool but is pretty much pointless. I roll around with it then switch to the quad barrel if I really need it but still. It should be way more powerfull so you can use it against vehicles while driving the interceptor. I don't even notice much of a reload difference.
Grunge Head I just got the game and haven’t beat it yet but I was wondering how you would repair the interceptor in the game since chumbucket isn’t in the car. Do you know?
@@bencoleman2203 You just go to the hood of the car when it's damaged and hold X it'll use scrap though to repair it. Which is not a big deal since by the time you get the Interceptor you'll have more scrap then you know what to do with.
Im always wonder why theres no guns. I know, MM world is mainly focused on cars and theres sniper rifles, but seriously no old rusty pistols, machine guns? Even Jeets guards had mainshift crossbows. Only other characters i seen with weapons were Scrotus with western revolver which he never draws and Gutgash with some long DIY rifle on his back.
am not a mad max fan of the movie or what ever ! i didn't watch it anyways. but i really loved the game ! i played it and enjoyed it more i did with gta 5.
I'm not a huge fan of the movies either but something keeps drawing me back to this game. I think its the fact that the wasteland is lonely and desolate one minute and kind of peaceful and then out of nowhere a group of raoders tries a hit-and-run and then you are fighting for your life. Then it goes silent again.
Hey NCR ranger yeah its definitely still worth getting. Its on sale on PSN and you can probably get it for less than £20/$20 2nd hand. If you like open world, cars and apocalyptic settings then you should enjoy it even if you are not a Mad Max fan. Like your username btw 👍
how many hours can you play before you finish the story? i am thinking of buying it but i have heard the post-ending gameplay is not so much fun. i completed gta 5 main story in about a week of playing and i guess the difficulty is similar to this
I think it will take about 2O-25hrs to finish all story missions not including the Wasteland Missions. Some of the story missions are locked at certain points because of the threat level in each zone and you are forced to sometimes lower the threat to unlock story missions. This can feel a bit frustrating because you are stopped in your tracks so to speak. The post game stuff is basically clearing the map and upgrading the car and any side missions that are left. It is much shorter than GTA5 may take about 3-4 days to 100% if you are playing ALL day! Sorry the response is so long. Like to get in as much detail. Hope this helps 👍
A great video game and sorely underrated. Should have had a sequel years ago. Warner Bros are just as useless at video gaming as they are in handling films.
Hey traveller sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I couldn't reply because of some random RU-vid restrictions. Yep he is alive and well but you only really see him in the bases or if you use the buggy as your vehicle.
Hey Enri. If you see at the beginning of the video I skip the end credits and a message comes up saying that you can continue and wrap up any side quests and collectibles. Chumbucket is alive again and waiting for you with your car. You can carry on playing from this point.

Hey again Enri. Sorry I took long to reply to your last message. I couldn't find it in my comments section 😭 anyway thanks for the comment I didn't really know what I was doing hahaa I crashed into the Interceptor by mistake while I was trying to line up the cars for the thumbnail 😫
Hey Mc Dawg. The only real reference in the game to the first Mad Max movie is an attachment for the car with the police helmet Max wore. Other than that I didn't really notice anything else but I haven't really looked hard enough to be fair.
Yeah would have been nice though seeing as the first movie was a proper road movie and also to change up the outfit a bit more. Could have been an option for headgear giving more defence.
Maybe there is somewhere in the Wasteland. The map is a pretty decent size and there are a lot of things hidden throughout the world. It is a nice thought though.
this blows ... why give the good jacket once you beat story mode??? I guess I'm going to have to do a quick play through and replay the game with this jacket lol
Haha yep my thoughts exactly. i was hoping there would be a New Game+ but I don't think they implemented one. You just carry on with getting all the collectibles and finishing side missions that are still available after the story. Still a good game nonetheless.
Yeah this game was a suprise gem for me. Hopefully there will be a sequel or another tie-in where they improve the exploration aspect of the game and the depth of the world as an interactive sandbox.
Haha I do that with most games and I did the same thing with Mad Max until about half way through the game but because most of the upgrades are locked behind the story I decided to do all the Story and side quests first.
Well he does die when Max crashes the Magnum Opus into Scrotus but after the ending cutscene you get a message saying that Chumbucket is alive again and you can continue your journey with him. A bit odd if you ask me.
