Currently on the way back from my deployment to Titan. My ears are is still ringing from the orbital bombardment and I feel like my brain is about to fall out of my skull; my left arm was ripped clean off but they’ve already ordered me a replacement thankfully. It's been 882 days since the Martian Confederation decided to declare war on Earth and I’ve been having these weird dreams ever since I got dosed up in the med bay… sat on a hill on Terra, watching a sunset with my family. To see them again is the only thing on my mind. The bloodshed, the suffering… I’m just glad I don’t have be a part of it anymore. I pray one day it will end, but humans, we always want more. Anyways, I’m gonna get some sleep - it’s another 4 weeks till we reach Terra’s GEO & I’m tired. Signing off…

This war has been too long and the POW detention facilities on Aries 6 are not a place I wish to remember. My body is tired. I have spent 1355 days on this cold, dusty rock. Most of them slaving in the mines. The rest of my crew didn't have this luck. They died on impact after our bomber was shut down during a raid on Selenai 3b. I wish their famillies can find peace. I tought a lot about the mistake we made. The first was starting a war we could not win. In retrospect it was madness but I don't to lose time thinking about it. Tom and I stuck close together all the damn time. It was our way to cope with the sheer atrocity we were facing every day. I remember that time when we assaulted the LG-214 Dreadnought near the outer Uranus ring. Half of the paratroopers were shot dead before even landing on that huge metal leviathan. The rest of us were torn apart by the antipersonnel-mounted turrets. It was a nightmare. My right leg was ripped off by a concussive shell right after I began my assent to the docking bay. It was Tom who saved me that night. He pressurized back my suit and cauterized the wound. I was in tears. Eventually, we found out our corps was just a diversion for a bigger move somewhere behind the surface clouds. The ship finally ceased fire and surrendered. I was barely alive. It is only one of the many traumas I have to carry with me now. I am so grateful I had Tom to share them with. He was a hero in many regards. But more importantly, he was also the best brother-in-arms I have ever had. One time, he found instant noodles during the siege of Karposov-III! He shared them with me and we pretended to be in Chinatown for the whole evening, laughing our hearts out and making ridiculous faces while we were trying not to hear the humming of the lasers over the shoring. It was our way to remain humans in this void filled with rage. To anyone reading this, I wish you have a buddy like Tom in your life. He was reported missing four days before the General Armistice. None of his patrol team members came back to the station. I cannot restrain myself to hope he found a way or another to survive out there, even if the cold truth lurks just behind this brittle hope. I had his name and his personnel number engraved on my leg prosthesis. Because I don't want my memory to be the only thing I still have of him. I can't have him gone like that. The eternity of deafening noise, of crippling light, and of dumbing shocks will follow me in the aftermath of the Intergalactic War. The first track reminds me of the track that played in the Clone Wars S7 episode when the war has ended and Ahsoka and Rex bury the clones 💔

I had in my childhood many vivid dreams like that where i left a planet (Mars ?!) in a big spaceship just before it has been destroyed / in other dreams i was a military chief who has ordered killing many enemies in another planet and in another one i was kept as a prisoner. These were repetitive dreams and not simple random ones. Some will say this is just due to the stress / anxiety or other health disorder ... but i don't believe in that medical b.s ! It's something else related to my very ancient past. I'm sure now 100% i'm here in this prison planet paying for my old lives ... I never felt that i belong to this planet in any way. I hope that one day i will return to my real home planet ... and thanks for reminding me my true origins !

Hazy - Cosmos gives me feelings of nostalgia back in the year 2017 because I've known this song way before 2020 and at the same time it gives me a feeling of visualizing on what the future would look like in my own perspective. Such a masterpiece.... Thank you Odysseus! I didn't expect that you would feature hazy in this playlist.

Oh...it's so quiet in my head. I don't miss the Ai yammering in my skull or my teammates screaming. Nano patches are doing their job. Don't even feel the gash in my chest from the shrapnel when we took a hit portside. Screecher rounds cut right through our shields and perforated our hull like paper. 32 guys...dead instantly. Doc said I was lucky to not be crushed, incinerated, or blown into space. Yeah I got payback, but it doesn't make any difference. War was over just like that. I'm glad yeah but did it have to cost so many lives. We're all human after even if we are from different planets. Shiela and Kara are going to be waiting as soon as we shift back to earth. Haven't stopped thinking about them since I left 80 cycles ago. I can hold my ladies without power armor or psi-shields. And use both my arms, even if one is synthetic. Can finally breathe real air again.

The war was over. The nightmares however, only got worse.
